We left Allentown to go home, on the way, we had the urge to eat some chinese. I used Google to find a Chinese restaurant on my route home. I was immediately impressed by the 4.5 stars. I stopped, placed a $50 order. The woman behind the counter was extremely patient, collected, and professional. She commented my order would take 15 minutes. I went back out to my car to wait. Literally 15 minutes later my order was brought out to my car. We drove home, everyone gathered in the kitchen and the food was dispersed. The pork and broccoli was hot and fresh, taste was excellent with large slices and loaded with sauce. The chicken and broccoli was also hot and fresh, large chunks of chicken adorned the bowl with broccoli so fresh it tasted like it was just picked. My general Tso chicken was also just the right temp, both heat and spice. The Tso was VERY flavorful, the sauce was plentiful and I had enough left over to soak my pork fried rice in.
I also ordered boiled dumplings, sweet&sour chicken, shrimp egg rolls, crab ragoon, and fried wontons. Every single piece that I ate of every kind of food type was very delicious and better than other restaurants in the area.
If I had to find one thing wrong with this restaurant it would be that the fortune cookies are smaller and cheaper made than I am used too. I received an adequate amount, but you can tell the manufacturer is reducing the size of the cookie and the package, not the restaurants fault, but the cookie is the final compliment to the meal.
I will eat there again, often and with the same expectations. I probably will NOT eat at any other Chinese restaurants in the area as I don't feel they can come close to the service, quantity, quality, and the taste.
Thank you for feeding my family...
Read moreWe decided to try this place because of the great reviews. The Lo Mein, General Tso’s, fried rice, and egg rolls were standard. Not great but not bad. I recommend you skip the spring roll. It was soggy and way too small to justify the price. The fried chicken wings were the worst we ever had. They were so overcooked that we could barely bite into them. We ate two and threw the rest out. Also, you do not get 8 wings. They cut their wings in half, so it is really 4 full wings for $9.50. It is misleading because most Chinese places refer to a wing as a full wing. The sweet and sour soup was inedible and went straight to the garbage. The cashew chicken was so heavily sauced that my dish was halfway full of sauce. That made the food overly salty and difficult to eat. 2/3 of that was thrown away too. By the way, the cashew chicken had a total of six cashew halves in the entire dish.
I am not sure why this place has such great reviews. Maybe they have select dishes that are great or we caught them on a bad night. Who knows. Hope your experience is better...
Read moreI would give this a 1.5 rating if I could the food has zero flavor, I mean it's not horrible but it just tastes bland... the staff seems a little bossy like when you come in they just want to get your money and get you the hell out the door and I hate that you know I want a local business that I am spending my hard-earned money at to actually you know say hello how are you doing blah blah blah thank you for coming to my establishment etc etc etc it's just kind of annoying that you know basically they want you in there they want your money they get your food to you and then out the door you go and it just feels like such a crappy experience.
I never thought Fried Rice could taste...
