I never ever leave reviews. But my experience this afternoon at the Smithfield drive thru was so bad that I had to. During the week the drive thru is OK. They are not super fast but deliver food at an acceptable speed. On the weekends that is a totally different story! Today I arrived at 1:40 pm. I noticed that the cars in front of me were taking a long time with their orders at the intercom. When it was my turn I understood why. I had to explain my order several times to the person. She kept repeating it back to me several times. She didn't know that they had apple juice as an option with the kids meals. I had to keep correcting her because the order was incorrect. After she finally got the order correct I moved up in the line. Each car in front of me was waiting at the window for 10-15 minutes. My little kids were hungry and getting irritable. By the time we finally made it to the window they were crying. I paid and could see some of our drinks and kids meals next to the register. We then waited at the window our 15 minutes. The 2 workers that I could see looked young. The girl at the register was just tapping on the table waiting for food. The other girl was running around. Then the girl at the window updated me saying she had to go get another apple juice from the back. We finally get our food. I double check to make sure we got the 2 apple turn overs. I drive away and then realize that I never received my drink that came with my meal. At that point I didn't care and was not going back. We did not receive our food until a little before 2:20 pm. That is 40 minutes in line at a drive through that was not that busy!!!
I was late to an appointment to meet a friend. I told her about my experience at Arby's. After our meeting she decided to go to Arby's as well and get some food for her girls. She sent me a text later that she had been waiting for 35 minutes and still no food! When she finally received her food she said that they forgot her chicken nuggets, gave her water in her cup instead of lemonade and filled her fry cup half full.
This Arby's really needs to step it up on the weekends. I don't think I've ever had slower service at a drive thru before. Many mistakes with the orders and it just made the food not taste great because I was so annoyed. This is obviously not just a one time occurrence.
I tried calling the number, the website and the text message options (sticker on drive thru window) for doing a survey and none of them worked.
So disappointed with the...
Read moreWe ordered through the app last night. My husband got there at about 7:45 to file the lobby closed. Not enough staff. I'm pretty sure I've seen this before, and we almost never go there. We ordered, among a few other things, a French dip and crinkle and curly fries. They forgot the Au Jus, and my husband had to go back. Fortunately, it's only 5 or so minutes away. Still, he had to call them because the drive thru line was long. They did run it out quickly. The fries were all COLD. Like, really cold. Like they were cold when he got them, not just child from the short drive home. Fortunately, we shove everything in the oven on low while we get ready to eat anyway, but still. When we finally had all the parts of our meal and sat to eat, the crinkle fries were disgusting. They were dark and had a gross texture, and very hard, like they'd been refried at least twice. I had left them in the box in the warm oven, so they were protected and I know my oven didn't do that. Especially since the curly fries were not that way at all. I got a free sandwich by ordering on the app, and only I got a meal including a drink, out of 4 of us. The kids shared 3 tenders and a large box of fries. My husband and I had sandwiches and he got small fries. We only paid about $25. It was still overpriced. The kids barely ate anything. I didn't eat my gross fries. It was just so bad. I used to love Arbys. My opinion has changed. My cup had a QR code that asked me to tell them what I thought. I said "you asked for it" and did the survey. Possibly the worst scores I've ever given on...
Read moreI used to work at an Arby's. I love Arby's, but this is the worst store I have ever been in. The manager was extremely rude. He did not get my order correct. Another customer had an item missing from his order. The employees are not very friendly, which is obviously because the manager is such a bad example. The floor was not clean. The manager tried to blame the sticky floor on ice melt being tracked in, but I know the difference between ice melt residue and a floor that has not had sugary soda mopped up properly. In previous visits, the employees have had trouble making change and sometimes were not able to fill my order because of broken machines or lack of supply. When the floor was mopped with a sopping wet mop using water that was not hot enough, it was very slippery and took more than 40 minutes to dry. It was still wet when I left the store. I nearly slipped more than once on my way out the door. I tried to get the manager to understand that he should make corrections, but he was not interested in being made aware of the failings of the store and treated me as if I was unreasonable to complain about the floor. I had to ask if he was the manager because he was not wearing any identification that I could see. I left feeling like I was more of an imposition than a welcome customer. Each time I have visited this store, I am repeatedly disappointed at the poor service and unkempt environment that I experience. I go in hope of seeing improvements, but this manager is incapable of accomplishing...
