Wendy's — Restaurant in Smithfield

I stopped by this Wendy’s around 2:30 p.m. on August 26th. Honestly, I came out of convenience, even though I know better by now, because the service at this location is almost always a gamble. Still, I figured being earlier in the day, I’d get a fair shot at a decent experience. Instead, I paid $21 and got one of the worst ones yet.

I ordered two sandwiches and was only handed one. The one I got was obviously hours old—the mayo had started to turn clear, and the only part that was remotely warm was the bottom bun. From my own time working in fast food, I know exactly what that means: it had been sitting under a heat lamp way too long. It was disgusting, and honestly unsafe.

I showed it to the shift manager and told her this could seriously make someone sick. Her response? She shrugged, said “sorry,” and shut the window in my face. That was it. No effort to make it right, no concern at all.

I don’t expect perfection—I worked in fast food myself, and I know what it’s like behind the counter. But this wasn’t just a mistake. This was negligence. If I had eaten that sandwich, I could have ended up in the hospital. Imagine if it had been someone’s grandmother or someone with a weak immune system. That’s not just bad service—that’s dangerous.

At this point, I don’t understand how this location is still operating with how consistently careless the food and service are. I’ll be reporting this to health and safety, because people deserve better than to be served spoiled food with zero...

So there was a video floating around from your establishment via one of your employees who took part. There was a kid who climbed into the ice chest (the ice that goes into everyones drinks) and they shut him in as he rolled in the ice while everyone laughed. How many people got sick from some teenage kid rolling in the ice??To make matters worse, one girl also got her belly button pierced next to where the food is prepared. That could have gotten blood on someone's food and is a risk for hepatitis a long with any other blood transfused disease. I'm absolutely apauled this is allowed to go on at your Wendy's, there needs to be a mass firing because several people took part and nobody stepped in to stop it. Typically really liked coming to this location, not sure what has happened. Made my order todat just before 6pm for a burger combo, the girl handed me my drink cup with her index, and middle fingers inside the cup, obviously not going to be drinking from something people have had their fingers in, so no drink with my combo... Got my order, the fries were good, but the burger I ordered had everything but hamburger... looking at it, it looked like a fish paddy.. but it was chicken, so not sure what happened there, so not eating that. The store was at least somewhat clean, but the staff seemed to not really give an effort, they seemed like they all didn't want to even try to be there. I think wendy's has officially...
