La Cabana — Restaurant in Snead

What an amazing restaurant!! Not sure if the guy up front was the owner or manager, but he was wonderful, welcoming, and had a warm personality from the start. He took our order, brought our food, and rung us up at the end. Our drinks, appetizers, and food arrived very quickly and it was honestly the best food I've had from any local Mexican place! The salsa and cheese dip were perfect. The plates looked so neat and well put together that I almost didn't wanna touch it and mess them up! Then the fried ice cream dessert came and it was the best thing I've ever eaten in my entire 32 years. The booth was also very comfortable with lots of room and the sweet tea was perfect. Called in an order last week, We had three Chicken chimichungas, according to what I saw on my daughter in laws separate order, we were supposed to be given a choice of either rice or beans to go with ours, none of the three had either, we weren't even asked, when we called it in my husband asked for a meal, also mine was supposed to be no peppers, no onions, but was supposed to have mushrooms, which it did not, other than that it was ok, Dont know if we will order again for...

The food was absolutely delicious! Authentic Mexican cuisine. The restaurant itself needed repairs. The ceiling was discovered by leaks in the roof, and in some places it looked like it could have fallen in.
