Well I think Thomas Terry is an idiot who lives in the big city and can't see past his own nose. I believe that Mr. Terry also enjoys tearing down true Americana of small towns. I have traveled between Oregon and Colorado for many decades and have stopped here to eat. NEVER once did I, or my family get sick from the food. And Mr. Terry needs to study up on "Food Poisoning".....It does NOT occur instantly, nor a few miles down the road. Mollie's may be a greasy spoon, It never claims to be a five star restaurant the middle of no where. I always have to laugh when I see multiple 4 and 5 star ratings on business's blog and one little douche bag 1 star rating. That tells me that someone is truly miserable in their own lives and wants to bring everybody else in the c'est pool with them. I know the little motel across the street is coolest little bit of Americana, Which would probably drive Mr. Terry over the edge. It is very dated and rustic. I don't know if they still do it or not, But the place had the honor system, You show up, you put your money in an envelope and put it in a slot where the room key is kept. You go to your room and stay the night. Next day you leave your key in the room and take off. We thought the was really cool. Rooms are clean just dated. They probably don't do this anymore due to all the douche bag criminals...
Read moreThis used to be one of my favorite places in the whole wide world to eat at!!! Just a small "hole-in-the-wall" kinda down home place with good hearted folks that sure knew how to cook and how to treat people! I had the chance to stop in and eat years ago for the first time and it was then that I met Ms Mollie and I fell in love with this place and her kindness! She is a true gem! Beautiful woman with a beautiful spirit and gifted in the kitchen! If you ever had a chance to eat here when Ms Mollie was cooking you would understand!!! Yep...this was THE place when Ms Mollie was in the kitchen. Sad to say that she is no longer in the kitchen, she is still with us , just not in the kitchen. We stopped in for lunch today and it was not good, however the staff was still just as friendly. Hate to say it but this is probably our last time stopping in there. It was a treat to see Ms Mollie though, she was on her way out as we were going in. Enjoyed the place when it was alive with her and her recipes! Have a...
Read moreJust ate here on my way to twin falls. Loved the prices. I hate paying 4.99 or similar for a kids mac and cheese. Here I payed 1.50 for a kids mac and cheese and it even came with a side. Kids corn dog and a side was 3.25. Great portion sizes. Great environment. Wasn't the cleanest but felt like you were at your grandparents, it was warm and welcoming. I loved the sides, we had a salad (ranch and beets were delicious, it was just iceberg lettuce but was ok with me), onion rings, and fries. The only thing I didn't like was my main dish and my husband didn't care for it either. It was the steak sandwich. Which was really just steak and toast but I didn't like either. But I'm definitely going to come here again and try a different main menu item since all my kids loved it and I loved the sides. Seriously though, this restaurant feels like home... good vibes......
