TNT Home hot dogs — Restaurant in Somerset

While the food at TNT Hot Dogs is of acceptable quality and the establishment is clean, my recent experience as a patron ensures I won’t be returning. As a parent, I was disappointed by the owner’s lack of understanding and empathy. My son, who didn't want hot dogs for dinner, insisted on a McDonald’s Happy Meal. I reluctantly agreed, as long as he promised to behave while I ordered a meal for myself.

However, when we arrived, the owner refused me service because my son was quietly eating his chicken nuggets in the corner. He cited a “no outside food” policy and refused to prepare my order, even though I was purchasing food from his establishment.

All the owner had to do was say, “Sir, for future reference, we don’t typically allow outside food, but we’ll allow it this once—please keep that in mind.” Instead, his rigid enforcement of the policy, without any consideration for the circumstances, felt unreasonable.

This lack of flexibility and consideration for parents with young children was frustrating. Sadly, this experience means I won’t be returning to...

This is our first time here today. I took my son there to enjoy some after-school hot dogs. Their menu is full of traditional items including Coney Island hot dogs and chili dogs, and then also some unique items such as the Azorean hot dog, which is filled with traditional toppings you would find in the Azores at hot dog stands.
