Waffle House — Restaurant in Sorrento

I would give 0 stars if I could. The place is FILTHY!! There is leftover food on the booths and crumbs under the napkin dispensers. I saw a waitress throw dirty dishes in the tray and spray them off lightly then throw them through the dish washer. She not once added soap and scrubbed these dishes clean and there was still clunks of food . The silverware had grits on it , so we had to use plastic . The cups had grits and other leftover food floating in them. One morning about 3 weeks ago the manager did not come out to cook on a short staffed morning and the waitress had to prepare my order . Which causes a delay. If you come after 12:00 you’ll most likely be told they are doing to go orders only or you’ll leave out of disgust because everyone is talking and sitting down and stares at you like go away when you sit at a table . This one waitress has dreads and NEVER has on a hair net. I requested the store manager after my last experience Monday, and I was told he was not there . The store manager is never present . The waitress with the purple highlights in her short haircut is RUDE . I don’t understand how she is still serving there after all of these years this lady tells people to “GET UP ! And wait until I’m ready for you . I have to clean this section ! “ all because they sat and waited . This place needs to be shut down ! All these people want is your money and the...

My husband & I are on a trip in our rv. We stopped at Waffle house and instantly regretted it. It was not that busy. There were 5 empty tables that had not been bussed or cleaned yet. The staff did not acknowledge us. As we were waiting to get a clean table 2 other parties walked in and they were not acknowledged either. No staff member made a move to clean tables. My husband stood by a booth waiting for it to be cleaned. A server walked up & took a few dishes off the table next to it & told him he could have a seat & wait for someone to clean a table when they were ready for him. He said he wanted the table he was standing by & she said he would have to wait for the next in line to be seated. He said,, "That would be me." She said, "well, you can wait right there then." Then she took the 2 drink glasses she had removed from the table & put them in the dirty dish tray & then told my husband, "there are 2 seats at the counter. You can sit there because I am going on a smoke break." No one cleaned any tables or made a move to make a place for us to sit. At this point we left. Upon arriving at the Waffle House in Sorrento, I was seated. However, I felt rushed to place my order. My husband requested a Hi-C, but was instead given a Coke. I asked for an orange juice, but was informed that they were out of stock. I ordered a waffle with a sunny-side-up egg, and after a while, I received my waffle. Approximately 15 minutes later, I was served a raw egg. My husband had ordered a breakfast bowl, and after waiting for 20 minutes, the waitress informed him that she had given his bowl to another customer. We decided to just forget the rest of our order, payed our bill and left.

As a side note, while making our payment, we observed numerous other customers receiving their complete orders. Notably, one customer was even provided with an orange juice, which apparently was not available at the time of our order.

Given the poor service I experienced, I would not hesitate to give this location a zero-star rating. It is disappointing to visit a restaurant intending to enjoy a pleasant breakfast with family only to be met with such...
