Alright, folks, gather 'round the grill – I mean, the table! Your ol' pal here just got back from El Mex in Inman, South Carolina, and lemme tell ya, it was a real home run! Now, I’ve had my fair share of “ethnic cuisine,” mostly that casserole my wife makes with the little corn chips, but El Mex? This was a whole new ballgame! First off, the chips and salsa? Forget about it! Fresh, crunchy, and that salsa? It was like a fiesta in my mouth! My son, little Timmy, who usually only eats hot dogs and freedom fries, was practically inhaling the stuff. I had to tell him, “Timmy, son, pace yourself! We got a whole enchilada mountain to climb!” Speaking of enchiladas, I ordered the “Super Grande Burrito,” and let me tell you, it was bigger than my head! I felt like a real conquistador taking down that bad boy. The flavor? Oh, it was like a fireworks display of spices! My wife, bless her heart, got the chicken fajitas, and they were sizzling like a July 4th barbecue. She said, and I quote, "Honey, this is better than my casserole." And that’s high praise, folks! Now, the service? Top-notch! Our waitress, sweet as apple pie, kept our drinks full and our chips overflowing. She even laughed at my jokes! I told her, “Why did the tomato turn red? Because it saw the salad dressing!” She just chuckled and said, “You’re a funny guy, sir!” I felt like a regular Don Rickles. The atmosphere? Pure Americana! They had those colorful blankets hanging on the walls, and the music was playing just loud enough to make you wanna do a little salsa dance in your seat. I almost asked my wife to cut a rug, but she gave me that look, you know the one. Now, I’m not gonna lie, I was a little nervous going in. I’m a meat-and-potatoes kinda guy, but El Mex? They converted me! I’m now a full-fledged burrito believer! I’m even thinking about getting a sombrero for my next visit. So, if you’re ever in Inman, South Carolina, and you’re looking for a good time and some great grub, head on over to El Mex. You won’t be disappointed! Just remember, pace yourself with the chips, and don’t forget to tell your waitress a good joke. You’ll be a hero! Now if you will excuse me, I need a nap. All this talk about food has made me...

My husband accidentally forgot to request "no meat" when ordering the pineapple fajitas to go for me. Their menu doesn't say it has meat on it so he didn't think of it. Well, I drove 15 minutes back up there to get a replacement, specifically saying to the guy on the phone at least three times that I didn't want any meat, NO MEAT. I was willing to pay for replacement meal since it was our mistake but they were kind enough to give it to me. I got home to find the meal FULL OF CHORIZO, which is a pork sausage. Is this some kind of joke??? I specifically told the guy I'm vegetarian and requested no meat at all several times. If you can't get that right what else gets screwed up that's possible allergens to people?!?!

EDIT: changed from one star to three stars because they did reach out to make it right but it would've been nice to have food...

Staff is friendly and polite. The atmosphere looks clean. The food was decent. It tasted good, but the portion was lacking. I recorded a video showing the portion inside of the "Quesadilla." I'll admit, it was on the cheaper side, $6 Grilled Chicken. I asked for Rice & Beans an extra $4.50 the pricing wasn't too bad (I speak for myself, since I do live in the Northeast, which would have charged me $16-18 for a similar meal.) The best part was probably the Christian hottie for a waitress. She almost got me with what sounded like a sales pitch. Nice try; I picked it up quickly. I was pretty distracted watching "The Boy's" spin-off show, "Gen V." The pilot episode is definitely full of surprices. Overall, I would have to think about whether I would eat here again. The food portion is one of the biggest deciding factors. Check it out for yourself. Good luck.

Came in during lunch time. Really didn't care for our waiter. He acted as if he didn't want to really serve. He was so unfriendly. One of the main reasons I rated a 4. Other than that, the manager guy who we paid at the end was very pleasant and friendly... The food was delicious and well worth the cost. I will definitely try this place again. Just during dinner time so as to avoid Mr. Sour Pants waiter!!!
