Ryan's Famous Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in South Carolina

The pizza is decent but the service is one of the worst I've experienced in Beaufort. I ordered pizza delivery from their website and it never arrived. When I called to find out what happened, a lady kept saying that I probably ordered from their pizza/hibachi place on lady's island. I already know they have 2 locations and 2 different websites and made sure I ordered from the correct one (order.ryanspizzasub.com). Even still, if I had ordered from their hibachi location by mistake, then why didn't they deliver to me? They also have pizza delivery. I wasn't being rude or anything, but the lady just hung up on me! I called back and the same lady handed the phone over to the manager (I assume). She insisted they didn't charge my card as they had no record of it being charged or the amount. I told them my card had a pending transaction for "RYANS PIZZA AND SUB" (not Ryan's Pizza and Hibachi, btw) but she insisted it will not post to my card, saying "the charge will go away, it didn't happen." It's now Monday and the transaction posted, forcing me to submit a dispute. Where did the money go if it "didn't happen?" This place runs a very shady business with a website that offers online ordering that doesn't work. It's unfortunate because I do like their food, but I won't be ordering from them again and will make sure others...

First off I'd like to say that the calzones are excellent. The pizza is pretty good, and the subs used to be delicious. We decided to order subs tonight. We ordered a Philly cheesesteak sub (which we had ordered in the last and loved, over 6 months ago), two meatball subs, onion rings, and cheesy french fires. $44 dollars later our food was delivered and we were super excited, until we opened the packages. The subs used to be larger and wrapped in paper and placed in a paper bag. These were in styrofoam boxes. I'm not sure how long they had been sitting but they were shriveled up and the lettuce was completely wilted. The flavor was ok. The meatball subs were flavorless. They appeared to be reheated frozen meatballs sparsely placed on a sub roll with some canned sauce and cheese. Not good. Finally, our daughter's cheese fries were so stuck in hardened cheese that they were inedible. Needless to say we were very disappointed. I called and spoke to the manager who swore that food prep had not change and blamed the problems on delivery delays. Well, delivery delays are not the problem of the customer and we've never had an issue before. This was not the same quality food that we had ordered in the past. So, if you want a delicious calzone, go for it. If you want subs delivered, you may want to think again....

The "local guide" reviews are full of trash. These locals wouldn't know good pizza if it hit them in the face, although I can't really blame them since they have never had good pizza here in Beaufort. This pizza is really bad. We are talking even bad for Beaufort, which is saying something. I ordered a large cheese pizza and as soon as my girlfriend got in the car with it, the smell permeated through the air immediately and reminded me of a baby's nasty garbage diaper that is 7 days old. Anyways, we got home and tried it and the cheese tasted funny, it was rubbery in texture and tasted rather old. This in combination with poor customer service that echos another reviewer commenting about the guy on his cell phone while she was paying, and taking her pizza are spot on, it was downright rude.
