Sue's Wings & Things — Restaurant in South Carolina

When ordering,my husband received the daily menu from the previous day while I was given the correct one.Luckily we caught on before he ordered & joked with the waitress about it. So from the correct daily menu I wanted the daily country meal but wanted to substitute the meat with another option on their menu....was told "no, they can't do that"...so I went with the menu. But when my plate was served they themselves had substituted all the vegetables without even asking me. Also a dessert was part of the meal but we had to ask for it & then the waitress served it to my husband rather than me & of course again it wasnt even the same item listed on the menu. The only part of my meal that was correct was the meat that I didn't really want. We didn't make much of a fuss about it but did call it to the attention of the waitress who acted as if it were no big deal. There was also a dessert as part of my meal but we had to remind her of it,cage then served it to him instead of me. That's when he noticed it wasn't even what was on the menu, again another substitute,he wanted to fuss but I calmed him down & he decided to mess with the waitress & told her he was allergic to this substitute item & she almost panicked.... I hope from now on she is more cautious about what is ordered vs what she serves. Not everyone will be as forgiving as we were. In my opinion because it was late, an hour or so before close, I really feel as if i was just served what was left, rather than what I ordered. But still the food was good. The waitress although clueless was friendly & cheerful. I have a feeling if we had made a fuss about wanting my order correct,she would have probably broken...

I really wanted our local wing place to be good. I have heard mixed reviews, so I took the opportunity to check out with some friends (although this might have been a bit dangerous after hearing not one, but two sick to stomach correlations with the place in the same week). The ambience is what you would expect for a typical wings place, although it is a touch on the dark side, however there are some seating locations that have more light. There were eight in my party on a typical busy midweek day, seating at about 2/3 capacity. The first thing I noticed when sitting at the table was how stick it was. Also the menus we're sticky, specials and holders we're sticky. It had definitely been a while since these things received a cleaning. We ordered a variety of foods from cheeseburgers, to steaks, to specials, to wings. We placed our order before 1230 and received the food after 130. It was pretty consistent among all of us that food was alright, but it didn't come out very warm, apparently waiting quite a while for the entire party. Our waitress was apolegetic about the wait and made sure our drinks were filled, so the service was more than adequate. Went to the bathroom before leaving and it looks like that hadn't been touched in a while either (yellow caked dust on top of urinals). Overall, the food ok, the cleanliness very poor, and the wait time pretty sad, so I won't be returning especially with so many other wings places...

My son tried to quit his job at Sue's a month or so ago when he was seeing that the Marine's was going to take up a lot of his time. She BEGGED him to stay, promised him a raise (that he didn't get until last week after he had to remind her 2 times) and promised to work with him. She then called the house begging me to beg him to stay. He finally told her that he would stay through football season to help HER out. Then Thursday they called him up for MEPS and he was in Charolette on Thursday and Friday, he swore into the Marines. Then yesterday, he had a Marines function where they decided to run an IST. He called work and let them know. Tonight he went in and she FIRED him!!!! I am livid!!!! I will never frequent Sue's again!!!!! My son tried to quit, knowing it was going to put her in a bad position, but it was HER that begged him to stay. From what I understand, she is required by law to let him off-I will definitely be checking into that!!!!!! I thought others might want to know how they treat those who've signed to protect the country!!!!! She wouldn't let him quit because she hadn't been able to replace him, as soon as she had someone to fill in for him, she firedThe past few times we've been in there, the food has been bad too. My brownie tasted like a piece of charcoal the other day. It kills me to give it even 1 star. I think it is disgraceful how they have treated...
