The Quarter Deck — Restaurant in South Carolina

I’ve been coming here for YEARS! I always tell people when they are coming down to this area to go here. We had already been twice in the last 3 days and had amazing service from great people! Then last night we were invited by a few new friends to meet them here for some after dinner drinks. We got there about 9:30. We sat at a table for 15 minutes and absolutely NO ONE spoke to us. We were right beside the bar. Bartender did not greet us. Did not say anything about there not being any wait staff. Didn’t ask us if we wanted anything to drink or eat. Didn’t offer us menus. NOTHING! I look over and see a young lady sitting at the end of the bar (where the staff normally sits near the kitchen) READING A BOOK! The food is great but way overpriced. A grilled cheese is $12. A burger starts at $18. This is beach side bar food. Not even a 3 star restaurant. We got up and left after 20 min. Will we be back? Absolutely. Only because I know I have never received such horrible service there before. But I will have a talk with the manager to make sure they are aware that not a single person got any kind of service for 20 minutes last night unless they walked up to the bar and got the bartender off his phone to make...

We stayed at the Myrtle Beach resort. The liquor brand they mostly had was Burnetts (not sure if that's a SC thing), but I was drinking that 20 years ago in college . As you age, you need Topshelf liquor and better selections. The bar can definitely expand their brands of liquor. I ordered blue long islands, and they were the worst long islands I ever had. The food and drinks from OCMD are much better Myrtle beach restaurants & bars can use a few pointers from them. I expected more from the southern state. Anywho, the karaoke is way too long, but it seems the DJ is stuck in his ways of doing things. They need a younger DJ who plays different types of music to show diversity (hip hop, reggae, pop, r&b, rock & roll, country, etc). The bar is a nice outside place that have more potential if they tweak somethings for sure. My bang bang shrimp was good, but the sodas were flat. The bartenders and staff...

Great experience and worth the money. Had the bam bam shrimp and wife had the flounder. Both were great and they were ready super fast. Convenient location if you're staying at the Mrytle Beach resort. Redeemed our food experience after a horrible one the night before at a different place, thankful for good honest people that put work into their craft.

Took a second to get the waiter to take our order but once they did the food was out in 5-10 minutes. Came regularly to make sure everything was fine after that.

Great atmosphere, live one man band that really set the mood for a great day. Went on a Monday.

I don't drink anymore due to being a real alcoholic that likes to ruin my life, but if I did, I'd probably still be down there. Seemed to have about anything you could dream of.
