Just visited this Waffle House location to redeem free bacon order that expires today. There were 4 employees behind the counter and only 5 customers. They barely looked up to acknowledge a new customer. This doesn't bother me but it's not friendly like WH usually is. I sat at the counter and two of the employees were chatting, one was cooking and another was just standing behind the counter. After a few minutes, the chat broke up, I was greeted and my order taken. I almost didn't stay because it was very dirty in the cooking area. I have pictures. Food all over the floor, trash overflowing and on the floor around the trash can. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and had to wait. The person coming out was a WH employee and didn't wash her hands. You can hear the loud dryer if it is cut on When I sat back down, I saw that she was the cook. Thankfully, she put gloves on to cook. Maybe she washed her hands in the kitchen, I do'n't know. I watched the employee cooking my waffle, clean some food off my plate with her fingers, scraping the plate and wiping it out. I asked her if she'd please give me another plate. She did. My waffle was great, my bacon arrived after I had eaten half of my waffle and it was great too. Please clean this place up. I love waffle house but not...
Read moreLast night at around midnight, two friends and I went to this Waffle House. One of the friends is from England and has never heard of Waffle House, so we HAD to take him. My other friend and I have probably each eaten at waffle houses over a hundred times. This location is one of my favorites.
Last night was the best Waffle House experience either of us have ever had. Juana and James were the best Waffle House employees EVER. We probably stayed at least 20-30 minutes after we had finished eating. Juana was amazing. She was polite, hilarious, knowledgeable, welcoming, and fast. James made some of the best food ever, and was shared the same traits as Juana. He had us laughing so hard our british friend was about to cry. When we told them it was our friend's first time ever at a Waffle House, they made a big deal out of it, got a hat for him, and gave him a good Waffle House welcome.
Our friend said this has been the highlight of his trip to the US so far. He said he has never been to a restuarant with a friendlier or funnier staff.
Both Juana and James deserve to be congratulated and rewarded for this outstanding customer service and experience. I might even call to see if they are working next time I want to decide...
