I have to give this a one star because there's not an option for zero! We are fans of waffle House but this one has about made us want to boycott all of them! There was no menu, to start, and then it took the server almost 7 mins to even come to us before we could even get them. (All her other 2 tables were already eating if that makes it better) then when we placed our drink orders my hubby ask for room in his coffee for cream and sugar, and received it filled to the brim. Waffles were burnt, if after you put syrup on and it still crunches in your mouth, says a lot. They were cold, and so was the rest of our food. We had a few pieces of bacon that was not cooked, then there was not condiments on the table. When asked for these condiments, we got an eye roll and the items chunked on the table. I could understand that if you're busy and rushing where that might be called for, but they were not! Then I watched the server cough heavily in her hand and then proceeded to continue handling food and drinks without waking her hands! My hubby is always known to finish his food, even if it's mediocre, because he likes to get his money worth. He couldn't even finish his food and left about half his plate due to it being unedible. Never will I go to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYou would think that on a slow Monday night taking one order would be simple.
Called 15 times to place a to go order, no answer. I've done this is the past without an issue.
Okay, I'll head over there, maybe they are busy. No one. Not one single customer is in the building. Mmmk. One employee is outside smoking, the other is clearly annoyed by my presence. That's always inviting.. Anyhow, I place my order, despite thinking I should just leave.
I should have left. Low and behold there's some new to-go charge (or an old policy that no one in the building knows about minus one 'manager.') So now I'm facing a $20 check for two melts and some hashbrowns. Absolutely not. One employee is trying to be kind (the one that was outside smoking) but I'm livid at this point. Long story short and after hearing about how the manager is going to have an employee meeting (ok?) They drop the charge.
I tell you, this better be the best burnt sandwich I've ever...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI know times can get rough, but there's no reason for the sole employee in the restaurant to be yelling at her young son who quite clearly is not a Waffle House employee to clean off one of the 3 tables available... and then yelling at her 5 year old daughter in the kitchen while taking our order and cooking it... I'm just blown away and there is no excuse for this. She kept yelling us down from the kitchen like "did you want onions" and "did you want bacon" when she already asked that when taking the order. The weird little boy kept watching us while he sat up at the bar. She also yelled at him "You want a waffle?" while making our order, and when the food came, the eggs were way undercooked and the waffle was soggy. Idk what's going on here, but when waiting for our food, we don't need to hear "I don't know what I'm gonna do about y'all, I'm here allllll night". so awkward and unnecessary, and definitely not a pleasant dine...
