I'm far from hard to please, yet I'm very much customer service driven and do want the food I pay for the way I request it. The waitress started off snappy, which OK we interrupted your talking time with the cook by walking in. I always request the same thing. BLT with my bacon well done, side of hash browns with jalapeños and tomatoes. After putting mayonnaise I noticed the Bacon was not well done but nearly half raw. Send it back, they put the bacon back on the grill to cook it more. Cook made a comment oh that's well done so she wants it burnt, I'll show her. Waitress whispers in her ear. Cook laughs. Anyone with sense knows you can't do that with bacon, it gets rubbery. I knew as soon as it was brought back due to the darkened edges and raw center loaded with grease with the mayonnaise still on the bread from the first time it was brought out to me. When the waitress took it back the second time she threw the whole thing away. Why didn't they do that the first time? Cook made a comment what's wrong with it this time. Waitress stated she wasn't happy you put it back in the grill to cook. I don't do that at home, why would I allow a restaurant to do that to me? Cook made a comment in not cooking it again. You don't have to make smart comments where the customers can hear you. Keep your smart comments to yourself. It's customer service!!! I'm not sure what's wrong with their night shift, but they all need a good retraining on everything! If it's true the cook is the manger then all i can say is run, don't waste your time or money at this waffle house after dark. They truly suck!!! It's a shame waffle house would rather recook your food instead...
Read moreStarted off very bad. A waitress named Amanda was extremely rude. Being a Saturday, they each only had 2 tables each. There was only one table vacant. The table had not been cleaned from the previous customers. We walked towards that empty table only to be yelled at by Amanda. She yelled out "You can't sit there until I tell you:! After a few minutes, she slowly walked to the table and removed the dirty dishes. Again, we walked towards the table when she Again yelled that we couldn't sit there until she tells us to. She said she had to wipe the table off. Instead of washing off the table, she washed all the dishes. Finally, she slowly came to the table and wiped it off. Never did she inform us that we were ALLOWED to finally sit there. Another waitress told us that we could sit down. In the meantime, another table became vacant. It was the second table from the restrooms. This waitress was extremely friendly. We decided if Amanda was as rude to us as she was, we certainly weren't having her bring food to us! I don't know the name of the waitress we had at table 2, but we waited for her to clean that table and sat in her section! She immediately cleaned her table first us. She got a $27 tip! Lesson learned, DON'T GO TO WAFFLE HOUSE IN LUGOFF AND SIT IN AMANDA'S SECTION UNLESS YOU LIKE...
Read moreLet me start off by saying, I’m no beginner when it comes to walking into a Waffle House. There’s no shocker about the lack of cleanliness in a WH establishment. This review is solely on the food representation and the attitude given when I needed a correction. (I WISH I had taken pictures) Typically I won’t send back food but when I ask for sunny side up eggs I don’t expect to be threatened by salmonella. The first time I sent them back I was apologetic but when I got my plate back and it looked the exact same, I began to wonder if they’d even attempted to make them right. After sending it back again my husband noticed the cook roll his eyes and getting fussy about having to “start all over”. A message to the cook: if you do it right the first time you wouldn’t land yourself in these sort of predicaments. I’m a die-hard WH fan and I must say, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. To conclude, I wouldn’t recommend this location at all. Also, I only gave a 3 star on service because the server herself deserved something since she did her job the best she could. Otherwise it would have...
