Ridge Restaurant — Restaurant in South Coventry Township

I haven't been to this little gem in probably 20 years or more. We went in for breakfast and were greeted by a wonderful hostess who just happened to be one of my son's former teachers who had retired from teaching a few years back. Our server did an outstanding job taking care of not only us but all of her other customers who were either already seated or coming in after us. We ordered three meals and they came out piping hot in a proper amount of time. Amazing experience. I pulled into the parking lot of this restaurant 15 minutes before it opened. Soon, half a dozen other cars joined me. By the time I was halfway into my breakfast the place was filling up. This restaurant is utterly fantastic. Look at the size of those pancakes! This is the “big breakfast,” number 15 on the menu. Only $14? Incredible. Absolutely a must visit if you are in this area. I wish I could’ve taken more pictures but I didn’t want to disturb the other patrons. Breakfast was ok. I'm allergic to eggs and tried to work with them to make even a hamburger patty or the steak omelet without the egg. Everything was a NO we can't do that till after 11am (it was 10:45am) I'm also trying to keep the carb count down so I really didn't want a Belgian waffle, but that's what I had to end up getting. I also got home fries. I have to say that it all tasted good but it was way over carbs for me and little protein. We probably won't go there again because they wouldn't work with dietary needs and were a little nasty about it...
