Burger King — Restaurant in South Elgin

Ordered 2 double Sausage Croissants, knowing they should come with a hefty amount of egg as I've ordered them before. However, this time they had virtually nothing for egg. So I showed the sandwiches and asked to talk to the manager as I'd never see this person here before. She comes back and gave me a bag, which I though was new sandwiches, so I pulled forward, but it just had egg in it (see photo). As if I'm supposed to remake the sandwiches myself as I'm driving. I have my winter jacket on so I have big sleeves and could not reach into the bag. I guess she was expecting me to pour the egg out onto my dash making a huge mess and rebuild my sandwiches while still in-line before I pull out into the road. It really irritated me so went through the drive through again and returned the sandwiches. Would it have been too much for them to take back the sandwiches and rebuild/add the egg in their kitchen?

This place is definitely going down hill. Half the time they are out of something whether it be cherry mix or Co2 for the soda, cups for the size drink you order, or the CC machine is down, or they are short staffed, etc. There is always some sort of problem at this location.

Be careful and please check your food! They gave me spoiled food! I ordered two original chicken sandwiches and two medium fries. After eating the first sandwich I look down at the bread and there was MOLD all over the bottom of the bread. I check the second sandwich and there was mold all over the bottom of the bread on the second sandwich also. I returned to the store to try to get either a full refund or a new order and the manager had the audacity to tell me that it wasn’t mold on the bottom of the bread and that it couldn’t be mold when they get everything fresh. The manager also had the audacity to say that it didn’t look like mold, I know for a fact that it was mold and that it was green , what else could it have been? The manager finally agreed to make a new order. The food here is hit or miss and the service isn’t that great. The restaurant needs to be renovated and have better managers and workers. I’ve seen a few different managers with in the last few years. I would not be surprised if this location closes down and the location it self isn’t a good location being on a busy corner of route 31...

Im a regular here I go here every other day. I have mix feelings with this burger king. But today 8/20/25 between 6pm-620pm took a hit.

I am giving this place a 1 star.. i wish I can give a 0 star.. because today was just insane how I had to wait 10 mins with no acknowledgement from cashiers (long hair with glasses) or the manager (short hair he/she).

The audacity the manager and cashier said to me when i ask if theyre going to take my order.. they said acknowledge me and told me "we will be with you in a sec".. i know for a fact they looked at me but never acknowledge me. And on top of that the manager was taking drivethru orders even though I was there for 10mins.

Even if they did tell me to wait a sec.. that sec turned into 10mins.. This is a fast food restaurant not a wait in line for 10mins to get your order.. so I just left...
