I called in 7/25/25 to place an order for the first time, with the recommendation of a coworker, plus we both live in the neighborhood. I told the young lady this was my fist time ordering and I asked her “ tell me about your catfish dinner”, she said it’s $15.50! I was expecting her to describe what comes in the dinner, then I said what about a polish boy and she said, it’s $8.50, then I said how much are your wings and are they whole wings! She said yes they are whole wings and they come in 3, 6 or 9! I said I will order a polish boy and 3 wings with bar b que sauce and she said $17.50! I said ok and I when will they be ready she said in 20 minutes, I said ok! I go there give her my #86 and she hands me two bags tied up tightly. So I went home cut the two bags open and it’s 2 chicken Philly sandwich’s with fries and a box of parm wings! Not my order at all! So I call up there and the same person that I placed my order with and picked up my order from answers and I said you gave me the wrong order, she said YES I did, the man’s who order that is was waiting on that order! So I said I am on my way to get my correct order and bring this one back! I go back up there and she gives me what I am thinking is my order, which I said you sure this is my order, she says yes! I get home and there is a box with a polish boy wrapped with fries in the box? Then there were three small boxes with fries with sauce on them! Then she went on to tell me I ordered the fries, I told her I never mentioned anything about a fry period! I reminded her she told me wings came 3,6 or 9! So I asked to speak to the owner and she said he was not there, so I said do you a manager and may I speak to him! I explain the situation to him, he says come on back up and will give me my wings! I said no way am I coming back up there today! He said the open up at noon tomorrow. The Resturant business is extremely hard to make a profit, but when your staff is not properly trained by at least repeating what you thought the customer is ordering, your business won’t be there long! When you have a staff member answering the phone and a possible customers says “tell me about your catfish dinner, you should be first describing what come with dinner then the price! The Polish Boy was good, their slaw had too much mayo so it soaked the bun and their sauce was thin and their fries were the little skinny ones with the skin on them and not much potato! I have yet to go back and settle up with the actual cost of just a polish boy and three wings! $17.50 is a lot and that’s what I paid! I was hoping this could be my go to spot when I don’t want to cook since it is maybe 3 minutes...

FYI- I wouldn’t have been so mad about the soul rolls and sauce if they both weren’t so delicious. That sauce gets a 1000/10 !!!
I have given this place soooooo many chances. The food is actually really good but the way customer service is not good at all. I have counted a total of six times that I was charged for sauce on my fries and there was zero sauce on them. Generally my son is picking it up so I don’t realize it until I get the food at home. I went in myself one day and the owner was standing right there and I voiced my issue and no one said anything and again was charged for sauce. That day I said that I was done but my husband said “oh give them another chance “. I don’t have dollars to just give away to businesses for nothing. Then I have often asked for the soul rolls and am always told that they are out and to come back when it’s on special. Well today was the last straw and I will not be coming back. I came in asked for an order of soul rolls and was told that they were sold out. I came back about 30 minutes later to pick up my order and a customer was at the counter and ordered soul rolls and they told her that “we have one last order “ . I said to the entire staff that was at the counter that I just asked and was told that they were sold out. I asked for the owner who’s vehicle was parked outside and was told that he wasn’t there. Which could have been true but was strange. No one apologized or anything. I stated that it was not a good way to keep customers with those practices. I walked out and everyone had something to say about my comments. I have had several people say negative things about their experiences here and I always defended because my family enjoyed the food but moving forward I won’t give my money away and not get what I paid for and be subjected to bad service. LAST MONTH , MY BOYFRIEND AND I ORDERED FOOD . THE FRIES WAS SOGGY AND UNDER COOKED THIS DAY AND THE WINGS AND FISH TASTED FUNNY WE THREW THE FOOD AWAY . CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS DIFFERENT YESTERDAY . I barley received any . Usually someone says welcome , I dint get that . the older lady looked like i was inconveniencing her because her and the owner was having a convo . i get my food and tell the old lady thank you , she says nothing . she finally responded with a you too after i told her to have a nice day .
overall i am gonna take a break from this place . maybe 6 months to give another try because its a black business and I love to support . I f this was anywhere else i would probably not come back .
i am a very busy woman . Time is valuable because once you loose it , you never get it back . I don't have time to reach out to make my food right the second time .
