Wrong order EVERY time. Live near this restaurant, so I chose to eat here. There are many, many other similar taquerias nearby, so I will NOT be returning. Adding insult to injury, they try to blame me (and other customers) for their mistakes. Never again. I hope the owners read these reviews. I ordered a carne asada burrito, all meat, with nothing else. I even repeated it in Spanish, pura carne, sin nada. She rung up a regular asada burrito with rice, sin nada. Then asked me if I wanted rice. I said no, pura carne, because I know they cost more, and just the meat. When it eventually showed up, it had onions, cilantro and red sauce. I sent it back and they made me another one. This one came out drenched in red sauce, which is too spicy for me. I just use lime on my burrito. When I was getting a to-go bag for the $8.60 burrito that I couldn't eat. Another woman came and told my cashier that she needed to stop making these kind of mistakes because the owner will be upset. Then she told my friend that was with me that I couldn't leave the restaurant until I paid more $$$. He asked why, and she said that the all-meat burritos cost more. He told her that I paid for the all-meat burrito, but I just wanted the meat and nothing else inside the tortilla. My friend told her that the second burrito was also not remade correctly. Then we left. The receipt is attached to this review. The cashier forgot to put sin nada on the all-meat burrito after she removed the regular burrito that comes with rice. I honestly don't know if I could have made it any clearer to the cashier when I said, a carne asada burrito, pura carne, sin nada, para aqui, porfavor. Do I need to explain what sin nada means? No onions, no cilantro, no salsa. NOTHING BUT THE MEAT. And then tell me I need to pay extra? For what? Honestly! That was very insulting to me. The customer in front of us was also upset and arguing with the cashier because her order was...
Read moreBeen to this Tacos El Unico before a number of times like the many others around town! This locations food is top notch and always great quality.
This Up 'N Smoke menu though, it premiered May 3, 2023 and I am lucky enough to have tried it today. It was delicious! Everything. Literally, I tried every item. I have not been this satisfied at a Mexican taco spot or restaurant in a while.
Taco: I ordered two smoked brisket tacos and everything just blended together perfectly. The Sonoran style tortilla, the Monterrey jack cheese slaw (incredible flavor) and delicious salsa macha to boot? You need to try them. It was like a party in my mouth and everyone was invited! I wish I would have ordered 6.
Taquito: the order came with 3, and they looked different. The tortilla was blue! But then I bit into the first one and woah. The pickled red onions gave them a special kick. A pleasant surprise actually. They were very fulfilling too. Nicely made. Quality. Like with all the items from the Up 'N Smoke menu I ordered, everything looked like it was put together with care and precision.
Smoked Fries: yes, I ordered the fries too. I eat a lot. At this point I was full but I kept eating and I was grateful I did. The smoked brisket pieces on the fries were so delicious. So tender. So tasty, flavorful. Juicy. High quality tasting. I grabbed some salsa macha on the side to put on the fries and it complemented the meal well. The cheese sauce is always a nice touch too.
All in all I am going back just to eat these new items again. I was already a huge Tacos Del Unico fan before but this menu hits the spot for when you want something different. Unique. Tasty. High quality. It just all works. Try the smoked brisket tacos first and then go from there. I totally recommend this new menu and all the items. Did I say they are tasty?
Go! Go now! Go try the UP 'N Smoke menu!
Vallan! Vallan ya a probar...
Read moreWorst service ever I bought food in the drive thru and wanted to wash my hands with my family and they didn’t allow me to go , so I went to the restroom and asked the lady in the restroom anyways if she let me in just to wash my hands because I had changed my babies diaper and didn’t wanna eat my tacos like that. When I went to ask the lady in the restroom some employee tall Latina guy came out and yelled at me to leave I felt very weird because he just came out shouting get out of here when I am a customer just asking if they let me wash my hands really quickly. The guy processed to touch me twice and tapped me on my shoulders to leave. I told him not to touch me and that he can’t be touched people like that he kept yelling at me to leave and I told him I was leaving because i just wanted to ask the girl personally if I can quickly wash my hands, and he kept yelling I told him he could get in big trouble for touching people. He said he didn’t care and the manager came out finally and told me that he was the manager it was some old guy and I processed to explain to him but he said to leave too. I don’t know what kind of service, policy or people u employ but u should really double check those cameras. I use to come here a lot but I won’t be coming back me or my family. You guys should be really careful who you hire, people like this can get you guys in a lot of trouble. The manager seemed happy over all of this as you can see in the picture. The other guy in the picture is the one who like's touching people, he came out and I took the picture right away and he went back in right away once he realized I took a...
