Teddy's Red Tacos South Gate — Restaurant in South Gate

Disappointing Experience, took the family out for a birria tacos and were left with an empty feeling inside. On this Tuesday afternoon in South Gate California, we pulled up into the place and we’re not greeted by anyone, we had to ask about seating because there is no table to sit down and eat available inside the place. We ordered the special plates that are the best sellers totaling $80, the same amount I spend on a dine in place. We had no idea the food portions were soo small. I have 2 teens “girls” and had the large plates and still did not fill on the portions provided. The food taste was bland and the overall quality of the food was very poor. Tortillas were stale and tostadas were equally as bitter. The temperature of the tacos were cold and the temperature of the soup was way too hot to the point my daughter Burt herself. The drinks were watered down. We didn’t feel welcome nor did we have the desire to even try the place again. Not worth the time or the money paid. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. It lacks lots of attention. Dump it....

To began neither my family or myself felt welcomed when arriving. We paid 72 dollars and something cents for 2 platters 5 quesabirrias, an extra consome, 2 Cokes, an Horchata and Jamaican water. To be honest the tacos and everything barely had meat. In spanish my mom would say estaban percinados con carne lol. The taste was not their at all. They had no taste. The only thing I seen was that they toast the tortillas with red food coloring and oil tbh. Sorry but I was extremely dissapointed and would never return neither recomend this place. It wasn't worth not the service yet least the food and even more for the price I would have enjoyed 100 times birria in other more affordable establishments ive been too, than here. BTW portions are tiny. None of us were even full when we finished our food. That was a bigger bummer. Oh and 2 consoles we ended up throwing away since they didn't even taste good. Food...

It's a good place for a quick bite of Birria. Good taste of the Birria. I Personally like my Birria served on a real plate with plenty of Cilantro,Limon,and onio ,salt if need. I like to have everything at the table ; at this location that dose NOT happen. The tortillas are dipped in birria broath and grasa don't recommend it. ( They over dip it!). No extras on your table Atmosphere feels blah loud music plays but feels like you are in a unfurnished home. A lot of parking available. Variety on how to get your birria is a plus.(a lot of options available) O Bring your Coke they only carry pepsi. Not my type of spot, unless is literally a stop and go for...
