Tom's Jr. — Restaurant in South Gate

Really Great local burger joint, I have not been back to my Old neighborhood for many many years, drove out from Orange County to hand deliver a Christmas card to ensure my friend got it in time for Christmas. Passed this burger joint on my way in, the aromas of burger grilling caught my attention 😋 as I got stopped by the red light at the intersection. I stopped in on my way back home, ordered a bacon cheeseburger combo and a soft drink. 😋 OK THAT WAS A CRAZY GOOOOOD BACON CHEESEBURGER..... hands down great grilled flavor fires cooked perfectly n8ce and crispy good. The staff very friendly and courteous quick service but be prepared to wait a minute or two this place is popular with the locals and the prices are fair and you get good sized portions, very good value for the money. I will for sure comeback I gotta try their pastrami sandwich combo 😋 even if I have to drive from Orange County. Oh yeah I almost forgot I ordered a side of chile and it was very very good. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. Honestly I personally like the food here (some), but the services is THE WORST!. The Girl VERONIKA VELASQUEZ(as it said on the receipt) working in the Drive thru was very distracted by her coworkers yelling and laughing in the back. I had to repeat myself more than three times for her to get my order right not only that but once I pulled up for her to charge me the amount of $14.39. I only have her $13 and as she continued laughing w/ her co worker she then again asked me if I gave her $15.00. I said yes (it's not my fault she's not paying attention)lol. And she still returned $1.00 back to me. Once my food was handed to me she said have a good day and forgot to give me my drinks. I then asked her for my drinks. At that point I was already frustrated and wanted to leave. Once I'm about to eat my food I notice she also gave the wrong drinks. Everything she did was WRONG!!! It is not sanitary!!!!! There is a girl handling food, WITHOUT GLOBES, touching napkins and placing them on top of the food, touching utensils and placing them on top of food. She also had two big strands of hair coming out her hat(which should be protecting her hair from touching food) coming in and out delivery/drive thru bags of food, they are literally whipping the food. I know because I saw her working procedure. No hand sanitizer used, no changed of gloves done, By any cashier, one literally grabbed the cup of soda from a customer and proceeded to give him a refill, without globes, and then handing out food. It was disgusting. No of them seem to care, the only person wearing globes was the man making the food. That is it. I will definitely not come back...
