Ebenezer's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in South Hadley

This was my first time here and fell in love rather quickly. The place was clean and well staffed with guys who def do not mess around. I was shocked at first to see only one guy and kitchen staff but they held their own and never missed a beat. The food was EXCELLENT (had a thanksgiving wrap), the drinks were affordable and well worth it (made right). The bartender was running tables and the bar and did it with style..he was so genuinely friendly and had an excellent sense of humor. He never once seemed bothered. Randomly popped in here starving after a long day of traveling and had one of the juiciest decadent burgers I’ve had in a long time. Don’t get me wrong, you don’t want to eat this burger everyday…which means it’s a burger done right. They even had a gluten free bread option which was surprisingly perfect with the burger. Just dense enough to soak up the juice and not fall apart. I got the spicy jalapeño burger. So good. They usually fry them but I asked for them regular because of my gluten allergy. It was delicious. The food and service exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be standard greasy bar fare (and hey, nothing wrong with that when that's what you want), but got a menu with more variety than your standard wings-&-burger, like sandwiches and salads. The menu had enough creativity to be interesting, but not so much that you think your parents couldn't make it for you for dinner. True comfort food that can still check off your did-I-eat-my-vegetables box.
