I go to Five Guys because of the portions of the fries and because I can get my hamburger made the way I want. On March 8 of this year I stopped in for a burger and large fries. As I waited for my order I watched the staff fill the bags with the order and fries. Several customers got fries and then a few extra added to the bag using a stainless steel tray. The apparent manager would then go over and using both hands as a scoop would add more fries to selected customer bags. The portions were not equal for all customers. It was apparent that your portions were dependent on who you were. As for me I watched the server fill my fry cup then take some out and put them in the steel pan and he then poured them into my bag. For $7.99 I got ripped off. I called Five Guys corporate number to complain and after a week no one has gotten back with me. I know as one customer I don't matter to them, but I have gone to the Lynchburg VA, Emporia VA, locations as well as this South Hill location. Thanks to the lack of response and obvious selective customer treatment I will never visit a...

Fewer than half of the people ordering need to get fries. Seriously. If there are two of you, only one of you should get fries and only order the small. One of the notable things about five guys is that they always put extra french fries in your bag, sometimes filling it up with fries. Other than that, enjoy yourselves! The food is great for...
Read moreThe food was fine. I was here with my husband and three of my kids and everyone said they enjoyed their meal.
The inside floor is slippery. On the day that I visited, the bathroom floor was 10× more slippery than the restaurant floor itself. I'm on crutches recovering from a broken leg and it was terrifying. It was like they washed the floor with soap and maybe the soap didn't get rinsed off? Or something? I don't know. But my crutches slipped out from underneath me 3x or more. I was almost in tears when I left the bathroom, I was so scared of falling. My daughter ended up coming in and holding on to me so that I was ok.
We did address it with the manager on duty at the time and she sent someone to check it out. I didn't go back in to see what the result was, we took our food and ate outside...
