Really wasn't satisfied with the service, food or beverages here. They did have a great live bad during brunch hour. Turkey club: tasted like airport food. If I visit again I would have them make the sandwich since they just grabbed it from the window and from the board I thought they would've made day of. My sandwich was soggy and not the best. The pickle was really good tho! Chai latte: they wouldn't serve frozen drinks which is what I wanted so I order the chai latte and it wasn't mixed well. The bottom of the drink was covered in raw sugar/chai mix which didn't dissolve when mixing. Quiche: served cold and since they were busy they would not heat? Which if I knew would not have ordered. Music: really good and entertaining

Laid back coffee shop with eclectic, rustic decor. There is a spacious back deck open in the summer that overlooks a scenic marina. The food menu is limited compared to a full service restaurant but extensive as coffee shops go (including lunch sandwiches). The coffee itself is nothing to write home about but certainly better than average and worth the trip when coupled with the ambiance.

Breakfast egg bacon sandwich is a rubber McDonald’s version of a mcMuffin. The Turkey pesto sandwich was ok, but nothing to boast about. Coffee was decent. Bring your own mug, because their coffee cups are so flimsy, that your coffee will be in your lap…

Rude service. Dirty.

Used to love this place, unfortunately been a customer for 10+ years and extremely disappointed. Iced coffee is hit or miss - more often a miss. Waited 15 min for a BEC on croissant - which would’ve been totally acceptable except for the fact that my croissant looks like it was punched, skimpy amount of food on it and the bacon was FREEZING. I’m not talking “luke warm” barely warmed …. It was ice cold.

The staff could not have been ruder. The girl at the counter seemed annoyed that she had to take my orders - sorry for the service and tip! NONE of the staff was using gloves or washing their hands just wiping it on their shirts. Food contamination 101. Basically threw my croissant at me and when I said “thank you” it was returned with a dirty look and “yup” while she was walking away.

Java I’ve loved you for a long time but I sadly will...

Meh ... average at best, which is a real shame because this place probably has the best location/view of any coffee shop in Southern RI ... possibly all RI! Seating is terribly uncomfortable, there is a lack of outlets for anyone wanting to work, WIFI is shotty-spotty, and food is not-so-good. Coffee is actually decent, and staff are very pleasant, which both raise the star rating to avg. The owner needs to remodel and "restrategize". You know when someone buys a rundown home on the cheap, remodels it, and then sells it for a much higher price ... this place feels like a house before it is flipped. They should put this place on one of those "turn my business/restaurant" around...
