I'm giving this place of three because of the nice waiter and the location is nice. I also only tried the Mexican food so I don't know what the other food tastes like. When I went at lunch there was a lot of retired people eating there. I drove out of the way to try this place because I was told by people they had good authentic Mexican food. I'm assuming it's people that have never been outside of the area. I was disappointed with the food and the prices for what I received if the food had been authentic the prices would have been worth it. But everything was flavorless and watered down I'm not sure if it was done because most of the guests are primarily elderly from what I saw today. They didn't even have authentic Mexican hot sauce or cheeses on my flautas. The chips were cold they tasted a little stale and the salsa was tasteless and like a tomato puree. It's very Americanized and if that's what you like you'll probably like this place. But for me it wasn't what I was expecting. Better to travel to other places and get Mexican food in the area. I hope they read these reviews because they are Mexican family and I'm sure that they can make better food and if they've watered it down for the area in the population that they're getting I think that's the wrong thing to do. I think they would be better and busier if they had authentic Mexican food at...

I tried breakfast at Caffe 101 for the first time and was incredibly disappointed. The location is beautiful - right near Children's lake in Boiling Springs. There is a decent sized parking lot in the back and a nice patio for dining outside. There was no one to greet you when you arrived and no signage so it was unclear whether to seat yourself or wait to be seated. After awhile someone came out and told me to seat myself. The waitress came quickly to take my order. I ordered the Belgian waffle, bacon and coffee. The coffee was very good - served hot and strong. Unfortunately, I only got one cup. I was never offered a refill even as my cup sat empty for over 30 minutes. I tried to ask for one but my waitress disappeared for about 20 minutes and I could not get the attention of the waitress serving the table next to mine. At every other diner I have ever been to, the wait staff will refill everyone's coffee when they bring the pot out. Apparently that is not the case at this café. The waffle was very disappointing. It was not much bigger than an Ego. It was lukewarm, soggy and bland. The bacon was way overcooked. The restaurant was busy when I was there but it is very small (maybe 20 people max) and there were at least three waiters. When I went to check out, they charged a 4% fee to use a credit card. Overall, I feel like I wasted my money...

We hiked from White Rock to Boiling Springs on a hot muggy day in June and stopped here for lunch around 1pm. Counted 6 servers and 1 floor manager in the small restaurant. Plus coffee shop staffing in the annex. No air-conditioning inside and it was sweltering hot on the patio outside. Straight from the trail, we were hot, thirsty and hungry. Our waitress gave us menus and took our drink order, left and never returned. After 15 minutes waiting for our drinks, literally water and soft drinks, we left. We watched our waitress walk by our table 6 times, twice to serve 2 other orders, once to get the table next to us a box, then to pay their check. The last straw was watching her carry a plate of sauces for another server as we sat and watched, parched, hot and hungry. We knew she was new because we watched the floor manager type orders in and close a check for her. But obviously not paying attention to his new server's tables. We wouldn't have mind waiting a little longer for our food but in 90 degree heat inside the building ice water would have would have at least given us a...

Great service! While even short staffed, they do an amazing job serving and seating people. They serve authentic Mexican food that I drive miles to get. Being a small business in a small town is difficult, but they make it look so easy! People should be more appreciative that they are open even during a pandemic, unlike some places who remained closed. Even without a hostess, the waitresses help people with drinks, ice cream, and serving food. I’ve dined in multiple times and have been greeted and made sure I was always helped. A small business like Caffe 101 shouldn’t be treated like a fast food establishment when their food is fresh and filling. If you don’t like the way they do things maybe you should try TacoBell instead, and not ridicule a small business :)

I'd give this place a 20 star review if I could!! I'm not sure where to start, the view from the patio overlooking the river & abundant wildlife, the perfectly decorated interior or the amazing food! You must try a muffin! The split it, toast it to perfection & butter it! Sooooooo good! I guess I would have to say the best thing about this place is the mother/daughter (they look more like twins!) duo who serve you. Just on top of EVERYTHING! Iveth was our server & the girl was on it! Took care of everything we needed before we needed it!🤣🤣 They both have the most pleasant attitude & demeanor I have ever seen as a server. Amazed that this mom/daughter team works so well together. DO NOT DRIVE BY THIS PLACE! You will be missing something wonderful.

Food is very good, had chicken fajitas, sometimes burritos, and there is another dish with carrots and potatoes and chicken in a tortilla that is very good. Across the street is the Children's Lake, with beautiful ducks and geese. I like to feed them corn, you can buy bags of corn that is prepared for the ducks, at the convenience store across the street from the cafe. There is a sign on the opposite side of the lake that tells what types of food the ducks can eat. Bread is not on the list. There are benches around the lake and it is very peaceful. On nice days you can sit outside to eat at the cafe.
