Wow.. Where to start.. How about this. More expensive then a 5 star restaurant. Yes i ordered 6 drinks(alcoholic) an apatizer of cut up from frozen mozzarella bites and a 14” meat lovers pizza.. and the total was over $170 😳 The pizzas sauce “secret ingredient” im 99-9% positive is Texas Pete hot sauce. it was floppy n wet, hadly any crisp. I love texas pete so i didnt honestly mind the flavor. Are wait staff though kind and respectful and responsive seemed on edge as though they knew that eventually they would have to get the check. We asked to find out that they may $2.50+Hr only to have to split the tips making all there hard work and effort worth nothing. It sits in a strip mall of a harris teeter with a china 1 take out and a super cuts. nothing about it screams 5 star or first class or an hint of price point being high. N god forbid you have to use the restroom. The mens made truck stop bathrooms more appealing and my date refused to use the womans.. You can tell its new, and recently built but this is a hole in the wall pizza joint (which isnt an insult) its NOT fine dining and im disappointed there alcohol prices reflected that i could have bot the biggest bottle at the liquor store for my 2 doubles, ordered a pizza to my door, got wasted for the next 3 days and ate pizza and still wouldnt have broke $100 n got the same quality food n fast service. DO BETTER WP.. N loose the texas pete.

I give this place a good solid 4 stars. The food itself is good however I've only had the pizza and salad. But I've never wanted to complain about either. The atmosphere is nice for the location it is in. I give it three out of 5 stars not because their service is bad or horrible but because you really don't get much service since. They don't actually come out to the table and wait on you. However they have a deal where you can get a slice of pizza, a salad and a drink for x amount of dollars or you can get two slices of pizza and a drink for x amount of dollars. However if you go in and order two slices of pizza they have failed multiple times that I am aware of to offer you the drink for the same or less price. However if you look at the menu that is right in front of them there is a lunch special that includes the two slices of pizza and a drink for a slightly lesser price than just purchasing two slices alone.

DO NOT ORDER CALZONES! They claim “sometimes” they look like these … I was told “they need to reach the right temperature!!? “. No apologies when I had to drive back to return them in order to have new ones. Instead I was told “you might need to place them in the oven’. I asked “why? Are they undercooked??!” The woman had an attitude… terrible customer service…. All I expected was “ sorry you had to drive back…. Here you go”. Instead she was rude and ornery. Lost a customer and I can tell she did not care! No wonder their food was rated 5.9 by DAVE PORTNOY.. check it out on YouTube! See the pictures.

Having grown up in Central New Jersey, my childhood memories are filled with Mets games and enjoying delectable pizza, sub sandwiches, and pork roll (Taylor Ham) and egg sandwiches. Every town and neighborhood in NJ and NYC seemed to have their own local mom and pop-owned pizzerias and delis, offering the finest pizza. While I had high hopes for Whispering Pies and wanted to give it the NJ seal of approval, there are a few areas that could be improved upon. I was here a few years ago (Circa 2018 or 2019 and the pizza just tasted much better and was more affordable. I think this place might have been under different ownership then.

The pizza at Whispering Pies, unfortunately, had a somewhat dry taste, although not as extreme as the cardboard-like flavor of Little Caesars. It just didn't quite live up to the nostalgic taste I remember from my childhood. Furthermore, the pricing left me a bit perplexed. I recently spent $40 on two large cheese pizzas (without any additional toppings) and a small Caesar salad, which was less than fresh—it had been refrigerated and it was hard to determine whether it had been prepared earlier today or several days ago. Clearly, it lacked the freshness I was hoping for.

Although I no longer reside in Central NJ and have been in Moore County for the past 13 years, I have three pizza options within a 10-minute drive: Little Caesars, Valentis, and Whispering Pies. If I were to spend $40 on an overpriced pizza, I would probably choose Valentis over Whispering Pies, albeit by a small margin. Also, $40 bucks for two o.k cheese pizzas? Come on guys, I know inflation is hitting us all, but $40 for two cheese pizzas? However, for those craving authentic NY-style pizza in Moore County that are able to drive to Southern Pines, I would recommend SoPies, despite its higher prices. It manages to capture a more authentic taste, which is worth...
