Eldrion's Pizza — Restaurant in Southington

Wow. I grew up in NYC, so pizza for me is the pizza of my childhood, from neighborhood pizzerias in the Inwood and Washington Heights areas of upper Manhattan. since leaving for college, I have lived in 15 other states in the midwest, great plains, deep south, mid-atlantic, and new england. Today, my first visit to Eldrion's since moving the Southington almost 3 years ago, I finally found it - that NY style pizza of my childhood. Eldrion just nailed it! Perfect crust, perfect sauce, perfect cheese, just the right amount of seasoning and topppings. Now, there's lots more on the menu to try, including other types and styles of pizza and I will, over time. And don't get me wrong - what I had might not be your favorite type of pizza. Asked if there were any slices available, told no but it would only be 10 minutes. So I ordered a 12” s.m.o.g. Then went over to Mia’s and ordered a couple of expressions cheesecake slices, delicious. Went back to Eldrion’s and sat and waited a few more minutes. Young man who took my order said, you’re all set. Turned around and saw not a pizza but a sub sandwich. I said, I didn’t order a sub I ordered pizza. Dazed expression from him. BY FAR THE GREATEST PIZZA EVA!!!! Hands down- Eldrions is simply INCREDIBLE!
