Crazy D's Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Sparks

We were really looking forward to this place as we’d heard good things, and we were sorely disappointed. The onion rings were a 10/10 and the burger itself tasted amazing. The jalapeño burger was solid too, about an 8/10. Unfortunately, the barbecue burger was loaded with so much sauce around the bun instead of inside that it was messy and difficult to eat. The mac and cheese was a big miss, flavorless and mushy, maybe a 3/10.

Service could use some work. There was no greeting when we came in or when we left, and after placing our order we were told the wait would be 25 minutes but it ended up being over 45 minutes. To make matters worse, it was hotter inside than outside, and it was over 90 degrees outside.

Overall, the food had a couple of highlights, but the long wait, lack of greeting, and uncomfortable environment made the experience disappointing. We’ll try it again and hope the owner sees reviews. This could be a really good place with some tweaks. The light right in front of the cash register is far too bright, you can’t even see the menu, so maybe swap that bulb out for something a little easier on the eyes. And with everyone in there so hot and waiting, about 15 people in the store, you’d think they would hand out free drinks or something to make it a little easier. Been wanting to try this place for awhile now! Well me and the wife stopped in for lunch. And it was amazing, the chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection, of course I had to get the crazy hot, and boy that’s what it was, the worker tried to warn me, but I was like this is crazy D’s so of course I gotta try the crazy hot!
