Had dinner at the Rail City Alehouse while in Reno - the name does not befit the restaurant. We went specifically to enjoy a cold draft beer with a burger, but the server said their draft lines hadn’t been working for quite some time. You can’t call yourself an Alehouse without draft beer! They even brag about their “extraordinary selection of signature beers”. The food, while passable, did not come close to its Google rating. We each had a burger - I had the mushroom burger and my son had the BBQ burger. Each was OK, but nothing special. Perhaps we should have tried the pizza or ribs, but based on the burgers (and absent draft beer), I see no need to return. The service was great - friendly and attentive. I should add the restaurant is immediately adjacent to the casino and the place seems more like a local hangout than a destination.

Service is very friendly. The pizza was ok. I mean, the parts with cheese and topping were great, but the small pizza is REALLY small (not much more diameter than the length of a dollar), and then the crust is well over an inch thick. So the four little slices have maybe 2 bites of pizza and 3 bites of dry bread.... For $15 ($17 to go)+ taxes and tip. The decor is uninspiring. I think the theme is 'bricks n screens'... So if you love watching silent commercials, this place has you covered... (I mean, if you are gonna decorate with tvs, at least spring for premium no ads viewing to display on them ...and not EVERYBODY wants to watch sportsball....). But to reiterate, the service is super friendly there.

The Ale House at Rail City is a great spot for a casual dining experience, they run different specials every day of the week with Wednesday being my personal favorite because they have a spaghetti special and their Pizza's are fabulous too. You can play Keno from your seat and they have quite a few TV screens so you can catch your favorite sporting event as well, they take cash, credit or comps if you happen to be a rewards card holder. It most definitely is a locals favorite place that makes everyone feel comfortable without breaking your wallet.

We came here for dinner tonight, No wait times and it was not busy at all, there were only a few couples and 1 family and us (2 people) We got seated very quickly (best part of this whole experience.) We Waited about 15 mins for a server to come so we could order drinks. During this 15 mins we observed 2 more separate couples get seated nearby us and got their drinks by the same server. The server gets to our table and asks what we would like to eat. We started with what we would like to drink because after being seated nobody came to our table. After ordering drinks and food we waited an additional 20 mins and still .. no drinks. We waited about 5 more minutes and nobody came to our table, I made eye contact with the server who took our order multiple times after the order was taken. The server was standing by the chef’s and other employees chatting. This by far has been the worst experience at the Ale House. We have never had a bad experience here, we enjoy the experience every time we come here. But this time was a deal breaker. We ended up getting up from our table and leaving to go elsewhere. Nobody said anything on the way out and we will not be returning. Would give 0 stars if it...

I came here specifically for the super deal, "$5 for 5 ribs and a beer". Heck, just 5 ribs for 5 bucks would be a deal, but toss in a beer , heck yeah. It was a quiet lunch time when I arrived. Seated promptly and order taken. Looking around looks like everybody is ordering the $5 special!

The ribs arrive quickly already cut. I like that! Who wants to be sawing away on a bunch of ribs at the table getting all messy! It came as a stack of ribs, 3 on the bottom and two more on top. The bottom ribs were a lot more meaty, I guess they give everyone some of the less meaty ones.

There was quite a "bark" on these ribs, so if you like a little less dark ribs, these you might not like. There was ample smoke flavor, so I know these were done in a real smoker, not like some other places that offer ribs, but there're just baked and broiled. These are the real deal here.

This is a killer deal, that seems to be continuing, so get on down here and check out these ribs! Even ordering the full "rack" or 12 ribs, is only $17 and includes 2 sides dishes is way below the market rate for a full rack of...
