The high rating for this place is our first clue. I enjoyed the plate El Marranito Llorón (the crying pig). It's a flavorful plate of slow-cooked pork, onions, and I think serrano and jalapeño peppers 🌶️ in a flavorful sauce with pico de gallo as well. Served with rice, beans, tortillas, and guacamole 🥑 it's nearly perfect. To top it off I had a bottle of Mexican Coke. This meal was simply excellent as was the service provided by José the owner. So far, after six months in Reno, this is the best Mexican food I've had... by a pretty wide margin. One other thing to add: the decor is great, think old school, family-owned Mexican restaurant.

Very nice restaurant with good hospitality. Authentic mexican food. They are open semi late and have some good alternative options. Plenty of parking. Give it a try. They also have a bar area if you just want to come and drink. Very close to other shops in case you are in the area.

This place is so legit! Definitely a real family business that tastes amazing and is so reasonably priced I was shocked, you get so much for your money! Authentic, delicious, affordable, you can't go wrong!

I’m sorry but that was the most vile Mexican food I’ve ever tasted. Me and my dad come from down south where Mexican food is abundant. Safe to say we’ve tried authentic, and this was not it. Not only was there dried vomit in the women’s bathroom sink, and no AC, but the food was also school cafeteria grade at best. Stale chips, flavorless salsa, and extremely lime forward sauces. Me and my father couldn’t even finish our plates. We took a few bites and truly attempted to finish it due to our nostalgia craving of home, but decided to just get the check. It was $40 for both of us to leave with half-full stomachs and a fear of what is to follow in the bathroom later. The only highlight was the service. Friendly people to greet and accommodate you, although it was slow for an empty restaurant. Please heed my warning and proceed with caution. I’m sorry if this review is rude or upsetting, but it is truly what we felt during and after...

I hate making review but this place really got to my nerves . So many great reviews…yet strange since I chose to give it a chance based the “”reviews””” . I ordered a birria to go and a burrito . The birria came in a styrofoam plate ? With like 5 small chunks of meat . They folded the soup in aluminum paper ? That honestly a first . I wish they had explained that before I ordered. The birria had No flavor and a burrito was not even cooked . Raw tortilla , the asada tasted old and bad . Sorry . I’ll give another try but tonight it was a...
