WOW! Tracey & Andre are THE BEST caterers you could ever have. We had a choice of caterers when booking our venue (The Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds). We met or had phone calls with the other options for caterers, but were truly floored when we met Andre at a bridal show at the Conservatory. He was making up a dish using just a hot plate and it was phenomenal. I knew that if we hired him for our wedding that the food would be incredible. My now husband, who didn't really care too much about a lot of the other 'wedding planning' choices that were made, was ADAMENT that we go with Andre's and I am glad we did! His opinion is that wedding food typically stinks, and I agree that it does. Through the process, we got to meet his wife, Tracey who is the general manager and is the person we worked with the most to go over logistical items, liquor, the menu, etc. She even offered to make up a menu for us to have at the wedding reception, no charge. They both really did a lot for us and you can tell they really care about what they do and about making their customers happy, both at their restaurant and their couples. They go above and beyond in so many ways and helped us navigate through a COVID wedding, ensuring everyone's safety while providing delicious appetizers and an incredible 3-course meal. Tracey did a fantastic job decorating our venue. We received so many compliments because of Andre's. The day of the wedding, the food was out of this world--even though we have eaten their food before, we were still blown away by how FANTASTIC everything was. As expected, we were running around trying to talk to everyone that came to our wedding, but we always felt like we had an eye on us by Andre's wait staff. We wouldn't be seated for more than 5 seconds before a plate of hot food was placed in front of us, or Tracey was asking if we needed a refill on any drinks, or literally anything. Tracy also anticipated our needs at all times. While I was briefly in hiding having my dress bustled, Tracey rushed back several plates of appetizers and a beer (I seriously love this woman) for me to chow down before getting thrown back into the crowd, knowing that I probably wouldn't get the chance to have any appetizers otherwise (and yes, she was right). They even used our own honey from my brother's bee hives to create a lot of the dishes that night. Dessert was amazing- my husband doesn't like cake and we were having a fall wedding so we had apple crisp with a side of homemade ice cream and raspberry drizzle, my grandmother would've been proud! They made us feel so special and for that I am forever grateful. If you want a caterer that has a huge heart and an extreme talent for making absolutely delicious food, book Andre's. We could not have been happier. Thank you,...
Read moreMy wife and I had our wedding here (both ceremony and reception) last week and I can honestly say it was exactly what we had hoped for. Tracey (co-owner) was amazingly helpful from the start of the process and initial inquiry through finalizing the details for the run of the day. She also served as our officiant and was outstanding in that function, all while managing the other aspects of the day.
The food was absolutely amazing. Andre (co-owner/chef) is an outstanding chef and absolutely nailed the cocktail hour and lunch reception. We set the three meat options (steak/salmon/chicken), and gave Andre the freedom to come up with sides and sauces as he wished....and he did not disappoint! The wedding cake deserves a shoutout of its own as it was out-of-this-world delicious - moist and bursting with flavor with the right amount of sweetness!! All of our family could not get over how good the food was. Good food was our top priority for the wedding so we could not have asked for anything better!
We also can't say enough about the service. My wife and I both felt extremely well attended to throughout the day, even before the event started (I was there early to decorate, she was there early to get dressed). And then through cocktail hour they continued to bring drinks and food over to where we were taking our 1 on 1 photos and family portraits so that we didn't have to miss out on all the amazing food on our special day! From what guests told us, everybody else felt very well taken care of as well. The staff is very professional and always knows the right thing to do/say.
The lakeside venue was beautiful...not much more to say there. Just gorgeous on a summer day.
Tracey and Andre have done an amazing job building a great restaurant and wedding venue. From our first visit we knew we had to get married here because we knew we could trust them to help make our day special. It almost felt like they were a part of the family by the time we got closer to the wedding. All of this, and the price is still pretty dang good when compared to a lot of the other wedding venues in NJ - they price their services reasonably for the high level of food and service offered, but they certainly do not price gouge like at other wedding venues.
We can't say enough good things about this place and would give it 10 stars if we could!
P.S. tip to anyone who is getting married here: The pizza station for cocktail hour was insanely good. Freshly-made wood-fired pizzas by Andre himself...can't beat that...definitely was a...
Read moreI have been hearing so many positive things about Andre's for a long time. I've seen online about how lovely they do weddings, etc...Reservations are required through Resy the third party site. The ambiance is romantic and they have a nice view of the lake. There was a terrible storm last night so we drove through it to make it there for our reservation time which was not ideal but we were so excited to go and try it out. Everyone we encountered was smiling and helpful. Our server was sweet and very attentive. It is a BYO or you can order select wine by the bottle from them with a winery they partner with. We chose to do that. It was a simple inexpensive Rose but perfect for summer and the heat. They brought out two small pieces of a bread that were not bad but the butters served with it were excellent. We ordered the cheese platter and polenta bites. Both were incredible-the cheese pairing with the spreads were well thought out and presented impeccably . The polenta bites were flavorful and delicious. I could have (and probably should have just stuck with ordering more of these). They also brought out two shooters of complimentary gazpacho which was a thoughtful touch. Also good and you could tell it was fresh. With all these sides/appetizers being tasty so far we had high hopes of the main dishes being just as good. We were sadly very wrong. The moment the plates arrived I just had a feeling. It was the smallest pieces of meat (even for fine dining standards) with almost no veggies/side item but over mostly over greens. The roasted duck was way too pink and had zero flavor. This was the part that was the most frustrating. Not even a pinch of salt or any seasoning could have been on these dishes. My fish was the same. No flavor at all. They desperately need to use at the very least salt and pepper to add some flavor to the dish. We ended up paying close to $150.00 with tip at the end. These main dishes did not deliver and we felt it was not money well spent after that. I saw so many great reviews online so I am hoping this was just a one off...but I doubt we would ever return. We spent too much money for main dishes to be that bland. We do not get out often for dinners alone and this was very...
