Nice atmosphere. Very Good prices. Large portions. They abided by covid regulations for a safe dining experience. The staff we encountered were all very kind and accommodating which I greatly appreciated seeing as I had a screaming 2 year old with me. There was one lady in particular that really went above and beyond to accommodate us and help out with my baby. We were so stressed and embarrassed that we were going to just have them pack our food to go and leave since my son was so fussy but she told us not to worry about it and to let him run around and play if he wanted to. She brought him and my 5 year old daughter crayons and coloring pages and cups of shredded cheese to snack on and she tried to play with him to cheer him up. She was great and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Wish I knew her name to give her the credit she deserves. Every one had masks on and The kitchen staff also had their heads/hair completely covered which I am so grateful for! I can’t stand finding a hair in my food. Our food was all very good! The only thing that I would change is that my calzone didn’t have very many veggies/filling. I had a spinach, broccoli and mushroom calzone and there was very few veggies in it, it was mostly just cheese. Other than that I have no complaints. I will definitely be back and recommend to my friends and family. All in all this is a...
Read moreAside from beer, I genuinely have never eaten food here and said, "Wow this is worth coming back for." The food is all mediocre at best. Some things are better than others, their Reuben, Voodoo Chicken Pasta, and Fiddlesticks (that's an appetizer) are all okay and what I've learned to order if I want to be half-way satisfied food wise.
However. Their drinks are amazing, they always seem to have the right choice. Always something that just sits on your tongue and sings sweet harmony to your taste buds. Sours, IPA, HPA, Stouts, Milked or otherwise. All of it. Maybe this makes up for the food. However, don't expect anything too greasy to pair with your beer as they lack fryers for those sorts of things. Maybe not a bad thing really.
As for the ambiance, it is overly dark in my opinion. It's also a shared opinion among most people I bring it up to. The building is cutely furnished but needs some work, it's monotone essentially and very lacking in a good aesthetic feel, and some may even say it's uninviting. Of course, if you're into the idea of a dark, seemingly candlelit joint, then it's right...
Read morePizza, pizza, pizza! We love pizza out of the numerous choices we have from frozen store bought to NY style huge pies. Your favorite is likely something completely different than anyone else's. In this area, if you want that NY style pie huge foldable slices and loaded with toppings, you won't find a better one than what Barleys has to offer. They are consistent in quality and service. Both are very good. Dinning in is a typical barish kind of place, kitchy local memorabilia, and perhaps a bit loud. It's a very casual place where kids and big parties are accommodated. They also have some very tasty fare non pizza related. Then, they also have an extensive selection of tap beer and a few ciders. We pick up our weekly pizza here, normally their tiny cheese and peperoni pie with a grilled chicken salad. It's a treat and decently healthy supper under 40 bucks for 2 to 4 people. Recommend Barleys to anyone looking for a great...
