Edit: I waited behind some customers who had already ordered and were waiting at the counter. I can assure the company that it happened as I was actually there. I tried to kill some wait time looking at the items for sale and chatting with the couple of customers who were waiting for their drinks. I noted that one of the customers' drinks had to be remade at least once because the barista spilled it. Overall it was an unpleasant experience. Especially being passed over multiple times in favor of drive through customers who arrived after me. Good luck with your small business. My advice to those wanting to try the coffee would be to go through the drive through.

I was up at the Lakes this past week and reached out on an Okoboji Facebook page about coffee shops in the area. I received lots of great suggestions, so I tried a different place every morning. I ordered the same drink at each location (iced turtle latte with skim milk), and while they were all good, there was one that rose to the top - Black Earth Java. It was so delicious that I had to go back a second time. I’m giving it an A+ for its perfect blend of syrups, the only place that offered whip on top, plenty of drizzle, and topped with a chocolate covered coffee bean. It was quite heavenly. ❤️

I usually order a latte & it always tastes good, is hot (the way I order it) & full, unlike another local coffee shop I've been to before (starts with an S) where they don't give you a full cup. I appreciate getting what I pay for. Always good customer service.

(Added later in January 2023...) one of the employees at the drive-thru is pretty pushy about asking if I want a tip added to my card payment, which I don't think is cool, none of the other workers have done that. I felt a bit pushed & cornered by it. A tip is voluntary. No waiter or waitress has ever asked me if I was going to leave a tip on my card for them. Other than that I...
