Updating my review. They have changed the menu. You can mo longer get a meal to save a couple dollars. The prices are outrageous. For 3 of us, one only got a burger, it was $65. I used to love their chicken sandwich when it was real chicken. Now it’s a thin frozen, processed thing you can get off a dollar menu. Really bad. I’m hugely disappointed but I won’t go back. While burgers are good but not good enough for the prices the charge.
The hamburger is one of the best. It is thin because that is the style of burger they serve. The meat is incredible. It will take longer to get your meal than Zips or McDonalds because it’s cooked fresh. The service has always been great. It’s no more expensive than any other burger place. In my opinion for the quality it’s a better value. The shakes and OJ are rather expensive. Overall I recommend this place. I have never...
Read moreI called in an order last Thursday evening around 6:30pm for a double smash burger without onions and an order of French fries. it was a later dinner so my husband decided to share. My husband picked up our order and headed home. Approx 10 mins away. As soon as we proceeded to eat I realized we got a single smash burger and it had some onions on it. I immediately called Shelby’s and a young lady said she was very sorry but handed the phone to a young man who said there were no onions on it and it was a double. He wasn’t able to do anything he would have to speak to a manager and would call us back. He was very rude and down right unkind to me. They never called us back and I guess didn’t care that they got our order right. We will never eat there again and will also share our experience with all of the...
Read moreI gave Shelby’s Burgers overall Four Stars due to my cost to perceived food value ratio. A one patty burger ($9), 1 small fry ($6) and a small milk shake ($7) = $22. Also the payment system defaulted to a low tip of 25% which quite honestly offended me given it is not service forward place. But the food was pretty good (although it felt like the beef patty was missing something like maybe a little salt/seasoning). The milkshake was delicious! The fries were thick cut, well fried, and nicely salty. They appear to be using all fresh ingredients, and I know that costs money!! Environment was hip 50’s diner type and staff was friendly. I would definitely eat there again if it was either more affordable or they elevated the taste of the burger(s) to...
