I found this place on Google maps, decided to check them out due to their awesome reviews, and I'm SO glad that I did! I called in an order to go, and we got the Deluxe burger and the famous Viking burger, plus some onion rings. Firstly, the lady on the phone was SO SWEET! I love that lady, she was so friendly, I instantly felt comfortable and I have a lot of social anxiety. Then, the food-- BOY leMME TELL YOU HWAT this is some REALLY good gotdang food, I tell ya! The burgers were cooked perfectly, with a slightly toasted bun to add a touch of love that I don't see pretty much anywhere else anymore, perfect attention to detail on my burger modifications, a well seasoned patty, fresh and delicious fries, and the onion rings were freaking awesome!! Will absolutely be coming back through Sprague just to visit this place again! They have a breakfast menu that looks superb. The food was also decently priced, a meal for 2 plus a snack for 20 odd bucks :) 11/10 on everything, you so need to stop here if you're hungry and driving through Washington! And the food was also very prompt, but not too much so if you know what I mean....
Read moreFood ordinary, prep slow. Never have I seen a simple side salad being built seemingly one scrap of diced tomato at a time, with lengthy pauses. When the salad was finally built, I then waited for the process of them getting the chili into the bowl. That was served and then the fries were put in the fryer so I could have them for dessert, I guess. I wasn't expecting fast food, but I did want to eat my dinner and get on the road. With no other orders they managed to take 20 minutes to serve these 3 items.
Edited because I referred to the chili as soup and the business response wa s essentially "we don't serve soup; it must be somebody else" Tomato, tomaato, soup, stew, chili. Either way, I wasn't offered crackers or onions, which are generally accepted as condiments accompanying chili.
BTW, Google maps doesn't easily get confused, nor do I, especially when you're the only restaurant for miles and there's a cannabis store perpendicular to your building in the parking lot.

Read moreThis was a while ago, but took a day drive out of Spokane and found myself around 30 miles southwest in the small town of Sprague. Hungry, I spotted an eating establishment called the Viking Inn. The decor is pretty ordinary but had a great aroma in a mixture of good food and a pleasant, yet settling, natural fragrance. I discovered that the menu was not too large or overwhelming. With my choice, I went with the club sandwich. UNBELIEVABLY GREAT! The meat was moist, cheese was tender and flavorful. The lettuce and tomato is not in season but might as will be. All done on/in 3 fresh slices of toasted white bread. I ordered fries that were done with perfection. Not overly seasoned and were hot and crispy on the outside. Telling me they were ready around the same time the sandwich was done. Ordered with a fountain Coca-Cola, Best day drive a person could have. I would of gave the overall experience 6 stars with the friendly and attentive server named Tara. Thank you Tara and thank you to the other members for the...
