I found this place on Google maps, decided to check them out due to their awesome reviews, and I'm SO glad that I did! I called in an order to go, and we got the Deluxe burger and the famous Viking burger, plus some onion rings. Firstly, the lady on the phone was SO SWEET! I love that lady, she was so friendly, I instantly felt comfortable and I have a lot of social anxiety. Then, the food-- BOY leMME TELL YOU HWAT this is some REALLY good gotdang food, I tell ya! The burgers were cooked perfectly, with a slightly toasted bun to add a touch of love that I don't see pretty much anywhere else anymore, perfect attention to detail on my burger modifications, a well seasoned patty, fresh and delicious fries, and the onion rings were freaking awesome!! Will absolutely be coming back through Sprague just to visit this place again! They have a breakfast menu that looks superb. The food was also decently priced, a meal for 2 plus a snack for 20 odd bucks :) 11/10 on everything, you so need to stop here if you're hungry and driving through Washington! And the food was also very prompt, but not too much so if you know what I mean....

Food ordinary, prep slow. Never have I seen a simple side salad being built seemingly one scrap of diced tomato at a time, with lengthy pauses. When the salad was finally built, I then waited for the process of them getting the chili into the bowl. That was served and then the fries were put in the fryer so I could have them for dessert, I guess. I wasn't expecting fast food, but I did want to eat my dinner and get on the road. With no other orders they managed to take 20 minutes to serve these 3 items.

Edited because I referred to the chili as soup and the business response wa s essentially "we don't serve soup; it must be somebody else" Tomato, tomaato, soup, stew, chili. Either way, I wasn't offered crackers or onions, which are generally accepted as condiments accompanying chili.

BTW, Google maps doesn't easily get confused, nor do I, especially when you're the only restaurant for miles and there's a cannabis store perpendicular to your building in the parking lot.

This was a while ago, but took a day drive out of Spokane and found myself around 30 miles southwest in the small town of Sprague. Hungry, I spotted an eating establishment called the Viking Inn. The decor is pretty ordinary but had a great aroma in a mixture of good food and a pleasant, yet settling, natural fragrance. I discovered that the menu was not too large or overwhelming. With my choice, I went with the club sandwich. UNBELIEVABLY GREAT! The meat was moist, cheese was tender and flavorful. The lettuce and tomato is not in season but might as will be. All done on/in 3 fresh slices of toasted white bread. I ordered fries that were done with perfection. Not overly seasoned and were hot and crispy on the outside. Telling me they were ready around the same time the sandwich was done. Ordered with a fountain Coca-Cola, Best day drive a person could have. I would of gave the overall experience 6 stars with the friendly and attentive server named Tara. Thank you Tara and thank you to the other members for the...

I've eaten their chicken strips and fries plenty of times but I've been wanting to try their breakfast for months and kept forgetting about their cut off time for breakfast. So I got to finally try it and it was super delicious. On the first bite of the chicken fried steak I said; Oh Wow! It was juicy and not greasy, crispy and not soft, it is thee best chicken fried steak I've had from any restaurant so far. The over easy eggs were cooked to order, the rye bread wasn't burnt, and the gravy was pretty good as well. The only complaint I have is that the hashbrowns were just a tad salty. Although they were salty, they were crispy and soft. It is the second best hashbrowns I have ever had. The Viking has met and exceeded my expectations tremendously. If you're ever in the area for a delicious bite, stop by, get some food get some gas and get some grass!

Viking Drive-Inn went way above and beyond our expectations when we dined at their fine restaurant! The staff is kind, caring and friendly and they take the time to get to know strangers who are going thru town. The food was totally amazing, as far as I'm concerned, the Viking Drive-Inn has the very best french fries in the USA! We absolutely love the history and the decor of their restaurant, which is very bright and cheerful, and artistic! There is a nice outdoor eating area also that we enjoyed. The next time we travel thru Sprague we are definitely going to dine at the Viking Drive-Inn again, it is worth the stop to have the most fun, enjoy the best food and friendliest service in Eastern Washington!

Decent food, nothing really wrong with it, just basic. The famous Viking Burger is just a simple double cheeseburger with fairly skinny patties. The tator tots were delicious, perfectly crunchy on the outside with a little soft center. The Cole slaw was good, a little different and a little spendy, but very tasty. Dad had a grilled chicken burger that he said was good, but nothing fancy. Dad got some strawberry Rhubarb pie that I’m pretty sure was in a plastic container from a grocery store. The biggest issue was probably the prices. Far too expensive for the amount and delivery of the food. I do have to say that the service was wondeful. Our waitress was very pleasant and the food was delivered timely.
