Me and my crew stopped at the Slowpoke for a cocktail before dinner. To our great surprise there was beautiful and comfortable couches and unique chairs and drink tables to sit in while we sipped our drinks. Our bartender offered us to pick a record to play and we thought that was the bees knees. We sat and enjoyed the music, however our cocktail was over poured with liquor, and we aren’t the type of people who really enjoy that in our later years. Comfortable seating and ambiance between the lush couches and low lighting (but not dark), in addition to the rows of books and records. It was inclusive and it was nice to not feel like the only queer person in a small, Wisconsin town.
