First off, I love Subway! I eat there ALL the time. Second, I'm a very respectful person and I can't even recall the last time I caught an attitude with an employee ANYWHERE, simply because it NEVER happens. Today, my fiance and I went to eat at the Spring Grove location. The boy who was about to make our sub's had to be reminded at least four times that we planned to DINE IN. For the most part, we watched the boy as he made the sub's. The first thing that slightly irritated me, was him cutting my six inch sub.. into more like a 4 1/2 inch sub. Next, the very second I turn my head after telling him oil/vinegar... I had a feeling he had forgotten, but gave him the benefit of the doubt... Since I stated everything very clearly. When we left (because of him packing our sub's to go.. After being reminded 4 times.. Which we just let go by the way..) I noticed my sub had no flavor.. He had not only forgot the vinegar, but also the salt and pepper. I don't usually go back in and kindly ask for another sub to be made.. But this time I actually did... Because I do feel that my food should at least taste like usual. Sooo.... We go back in and respectfully explain the issue. His co worker Jen, took our matter into her own hands. After realizing her passive aggressive approach toward the situation, despite my apologies and calm attitude, I just wanted to leave with my "corrected" sandwich. She then asks "vinegar?". I said yes please. To my surprise she begins dumping vinegar on for over 6 seconds...I had to tell her to stop pouring it on. She had a big fake smile on her face. I was uneasy about it... But walked out after thanking her, and took one bite and almost thew up. It was so horrible, I went right back in and this time very angerd.. Explained what I saw and how disrespectful that she had been to us. Got us a full refund... Won't be going back to the Spring...
Read moreThis subway has gone down hill within the past few months. The quality of the food is terrible. The cucumbers were brown and half of them were gone. I feel bad for the customers that were served here. I asked the staff to remove the cucumbers on my sub because they were brown. The female looked at me like I was “one of those” customers. She then proceeded to remove them and throw them back in the container to serve others. She even admitted they were brown, yet said they were NEW and stated they didn’t have anymore. Seriously? Makes me question what the staff find acceptable to serve the public and what they themselves are ingesting. The turkey was slimy and the lettuce was brown. Internally I was saying “never mind, forget the subs. I’d rather not eat here.” I’d rather not be that person, so I paid and threw it out once out of sight. After this experience, a few friends told me they got sick after eating here. Beware of what you’re eating if...
