Quaint atmosphere with old-time, classic diner feel. Loved the vinyl teal booths, ice cream parlor/coffee counter, and simple decor of framed, nostalgic, hometown sports team pictures (B&W). The staff were very friendly and responsive. Food was served fast and hot. Bathrooms and diner were bright and clean.

I can recommend the chicken tenders, fried clams, and butterflied shrimp. The option of beet eggs as a side was welcomed! (You don't usually find them available in restaurants) As a side it included 2 whole eggs and a few whole beets. The fried haddock on the seafood platter was the square, freezer to frier fillet-o'-fish style patty, just as a heads up. I will try the chicken pot pie next time because that looked really amazing ;)

Prices were very fair, just a heads up that this is a CASH ONLY restaurant. They do offer an atm on-site with a $1.50 surcharge in addition to what your bank may charge.

We came in today, after not coming in for a few years and it wasn’t a good experience. We were asked what we wanted to drink before we even had menus. Then when we got them to look over they charge to change the type of bread on a sandwich and charge to add cheese. I ordered a sandwich and asked for mayonnaise and when it came there was enough butter to give someone a heart attack & then a small smear of mayo on top of the butter! I didn’t even eat the bread I was up charged for. The check was out on the table when we got our food so even if we wanted to order something else we would have had to track down on waitress. We were not given extra napkins, and had a child with us & after my coffee was gone The waitress took the cup, and I had to ask after she started walking away if I could have some water. My food wasn’t the only plate that was lack luster. If this is typical, then I’m assuming ice cream is the only thing keeping...

We went on a busy Sunday afternoon. The server was very busy, so she wasn't able to get to us or check on us as often as usual. Normally, I'd give 5 stars for service. Something was different about the flurry I had this time. It left a little bit of a film in my mouth after eating it. This is not typical of their ice cream. My boys and I have enjoyed their ice cream on many other occasions. Today was different, so I only gave the 4 stars for this visit. It looks like there are some new upgrades taking place such as new signs and decorations. This is a genuinely old time looking restaurant with the comfy booths.
