We absolutely love Pop and his wife, as well as using a local business every few nights. Today I had a bad experience......they advertise that they serve lunch and they can serve you over at Nana's Tiny Town. We went to grab lunch at Pop's and waited for her to cook my grill cheese. She offered to bring it over to me, so I accepted. Once we got over there and paid, I found out no food was allowed while as I was looking at 3 Starbucks cups coffee lattes (or at least had milk in them). The Nana's worker said I would have to eat in the entryway.....away from my 2 yr old, unattended. I was the only one eating and she explained I could make a mess with my bread, cheese and chips. But when asked about the coffee drinks getting spilled, she had no response. We left after a few minutes because I was hungry and not going to have a screaming child while eating or leave her alone, especially when the signs says watch kids at all times. I kindly went back and explained to the Pop's worker the situation and she should advise of food rules since it's not noted at Pop's, and she said she would inform the owners. LOL. No, she should have used her customer service common sense, since I tipped her!!!!!! It's a logical things to say as a preparing for those that are not aware of rules and dealing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCompleted 2 full weeks of swim lessons with all the daycare kids. We survived the daily commute, everyone did great in their classes and I was able to keep my non participants happy and entertained each day. As a reward for their hard work I promised them a trip to Pops Ice Cream shop in Spring Hill to celebrate. After 2 times checking their hours online which says 11 am, and having it on my calender for over 4 months. It was apparently not meant to be. We arrived at the same time as another family and they entered before us to be turned away because they were "not open yet". At 11:15... so the 13 people on the sidewalk ready to give them their business were turned down. Bummer. Everyone urges people to shop local.. I try! But sometimes it seems that the local mom and this time literal pop shops don't want our business. My kids were content with sonic...

My husband and I actually ended up reaching out to them shortly after opening and used them as the dessert vendor at our rehearsal dinner. We got married in Spring Hill, so using a local business just felt right. Joann was amazing to work with and so excited to help us create a dessert table. We were able to go sample a few things and create a menu. We ended up having three flavors of fudge that were plated together as little bites, chocolate covered strawberries (that had a fun bridal theme!), and root beer cotton candy to have something a little different! Our guests loved the treats - it was such a unique variety!
We have since visited a few more times to try more fudge flavors (it is all SO amazing), cotton candy, and ice cream (we're fans...
