Benny's Pizza & Restaurant — Restaurant in Spring Lake Heights

A disaster from start to finish. I called and ordered baked ziti with a side order of meatballs. I also wanted to order broccoli. The person who answered the telephone said I could not order broccoli as a side order. I said I HAD TO HAVE A VEGETABLE with my dinner as a matter of health. He said I'd be getting some mixed vegetables with the dinner. Fine. The dinner came, and there were no vegetables at all and no salad dressing for my salad. I had ordered Italian dressing on the side. I called up and the young man told me NO vegetables were included and he had made a mistake. Then he informed me all of a sudden that he COULD send over a broccoli side order and it would be an additional seven dollars and it would be a half an hour later. Fine. An hour later NO sign of the broccoli. Every time I called the place I was put on hold for a long period of time. PS the bread that came with the dinner was stale. Benny's is one of my favorite places to go. The food is delicious- the nonna pie and the white pizza with broccoli are my favorites. We order pizza and catering from benny's often. The food is consistently good and the owner (Izzy) is very nice and goes out of his way to make sure you are happy. Two times in a row I’ve gotten extremely sick from this place. The first time I thought maybe just a coincidence. No. First time was penne with Alfredo sauce and grilled chicken.
