Cafe Luna is a real gem! The desserts are handmade, even the puff pastry and fillings! Make sure as with all desserts to have them at room temperature. The pistachio was so light and fluffy, did not have the sickly sweet pistachio flavoring. The chocolate temptation has hazelnut in it so if you love Ferrero Rochers you will love that cake! The napoleon was crunchy, creamy very lightly sweetened. The honey cake was the sweetest of them all and the sponge cake had a Graham flour taste about it. All cakes tasted balanced and very different from each other which is a real craftsmanship. The apricot tart was not sour or overly sweet which I really appreciated, light crust and smooth filling. The little waffle cones with sweetened condensed vanilla cream are truly addictive, if you love the flavor of freshly made waffle cookie cones. The couple who owns the place are very kind. She made sure to tell me to call ahead so my cheeseboat would be ready without waiting since it is made fresh and to make sure my cakes were at room temperature which is key to delicious cake and most people don't care. Timing and environment and temperature are so important for fresh food. The cheesy boat was so delicious too!! I had half for lunch and half for dinner. Highly suggest this...

We were visiting here and I wanted to try something new and this place was perfect. If you love pastries like I do be sure to check this place. The owners are very kind and welcoming.

I had the ff: Potato and Mushroom Borek Bites - I’m not a big fan of mushrooms but this one is really good. You can see the mushrooms and taste it but it’s doesn’t have that super mushroomy flavor that I don’t like. It was actually good!

Baked Chicken Turnover - This was my fav! I love turnovers and this one is just perfect for me. The chicken was flavorful and they served it perfectly warm (not too hot inside).

Baklava - There wasn’t a lot of filling, it was more of dough. I would give this 3.5/5 since I had a really good one somewhere else last night to compare with 😊. This is a bigger size though.

Coffee- perfect!

I would love to try all the food if I could 😂

Lastly it was a bit chilly inside. I didn’t bring my coat inside thinking it will be warmer. I first sat on the bar stools but got so cold so I moved. It was more of when people open the door but I wish there’s more heat inside.

Overall, highly recommended and will surely be back when we...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Luna, and I can confidently say everything was delicious! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. The decor is charming, with cozy seating and beautiful lighting, creating a perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal.

The menu was a delightful surprise, featuring a variety of options that cater to all tastes. Everything my wife and I tried was simply amazing—each dish bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. Whether it was the artisanal pastries or the hearty meals, every bite was a treat.

The service at Cafe Luna was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a wonderful dining experience. They were quick to answer our questions and made excellent recommendations, which made the meal even more enjoyable.

Overall, Cafe Luna is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to indulge in tasty food and experience great service in a delightful atmosphere. I can't wait to...

I must admit I had much higher hopes for this place from the reviews. Firstly, the service was abysmal. I was ignored for thirty minutes before being able to order and the waiter was in a pretty bad mood, so different from the attentive service one normally gets in the State College area. Secondly, the food was not bad, but it's quite far from the food I've had in Georgian and Russian restaurants around the world. With the adjaruli khachapuri, the cheese filling and especially the dough weren't similar to what you'd get in an authentic Georgian restaurant. Borscht, although perfectly okay, was much sweeter than Russians usually make it and it was also served with white bread rather than the usual dark rye bread. When I came to State College, I was so happy to have found a restaurant serving Russian and Georgian food, but it's a shame it's not a particularly good experience.
