Ladles — Restaurant in Springdale

We saw this restaurant driving by and decided to give it a shot. After a review called it a diamond in the rough, it started as such and ended up a dump in the grass. The appetizer, stuffed peppers were excellent. It went downhill from there. The chicken Marsala soup was thick pasty I don’t know what. Then my chicken of the sea which was breaded chicken cutlet topped with a jumbo lump crab cake DRIZZLED with lemon sauce. Well it was not drizzled it was absolutely buried in a yellow looking lemon sauce. The crab cake was not Jumbo lump, not sure why you would smash up expensive Jumbo lump crabmeat with breadcrumbs but never-the-less, was cold inside and flavorless. The cutlet was very good but then the gray looking mashed potatoes under all that sauce was hard to distinguish as mashed. I did eat it because I was starving. Now my wife’s dish chicken caprese. Hmm a wad of partially melted mozzarella buried in fettuccine with what was suppose to be basil, impossible to find amidst all the chopped parsley. The chicken cutlet again was good but the rest of the dish did not resemble a caprese. Update 1/7/2025 The food is excellent. Do you have an Italian grandma? I don't but this is what I imagine going over to place to eat would be like.

I had the lobster roll and that was done to perfection. Even growing up on the coast I didn't find many that could fix lobster as well as them.

The Zucchini Parmesan was fantastic and so very flavorful. The noodles were fixed just right with that nice spring to the noodle you don't get many places

The Italian wedding soup was still amazing.

This was the first time eating in instead of getting take out. While the take it is good. I highly recommend eating in. As you do lose someone just eating it as delivery.

2023 I had their pasta with bacon and potatoes. I was stunned at how tasty it was. Had so much flavor and was so good.

Their wedding soup was very good as well. Their chocolate cake is okay nothing bad but nothing that great.

Wanted to stop by for breakfast and hadn't been there in years..welp no more breakfast. Been served cold soup here before (waitress said she must not have heated it up enough in the MICROWAVE) my wife and mother-in-law were served RAW sausge for breakfast. Made the sever aware but didn't get comped. Had friends that worked here in the past only to quit because of the toxic work environment (always looking for help 🚩🚩). I used to go to all of the ladles locations but one by one they've closed. This one has progressively gone down hill. Open only when the owner feels like it. (so I can understand why no one wants to work there). The food used to be good but you can't get behind a place like this. The other good reviews are most likely regulars or good friends of the owner rendering them useless. Pretty sure the lobster bisque is from restaurant...
