Visited this Golden Corral on November 2, 2025 because of its re-grand opening and under new ownership, wanted to check out the changes. The decor, updates & new look are nice. The food was pretty good & much better then in the past under the old ownership. But the service was absolutely horrendous. Totally understand that they have just reopened & it's a Sunday, so naturally they were pretty busy. But even waiting to go eat later in the day after lunch hour rush, it was hard to find a table to sit down as there were multiple upon multiple of tables not being bused & just sitting waiting to be cleaned. Yet there was multiple staff just walking around or standing & talking to each other and not actually cleaning off tables. When we asked about a table being cleaned off so we could sit down, we were told "check everywhere there might be a free one". When in fact we told them we did walk the full restaurant and did not see a empty table in the main dining area, we were told to go sit in the banquet room. Again in the banquet room there were very few tables as there were a ton of tables that still needed to be cleaned off in there too. Once we did finally find a table and sit down, we had to wait over 30 minutes before a waitress even acknowledged us. I then asked for a water with a straw and 15 minutes later a water came but no straw. We then did not see the waitress again until we were getting up to leave. She did ask us if we were done and if we were leaving and when we responded we were, her only response was "oh well ok then". For any drink refills, we had to go hunt down a waitstaff by their drink refill areas. Again totally understand that they were pretty busy but even when we arrived we did not have to wait in line and when we were leaving there was no lines either. But there was still a ton of tables but still needed to be cleaned off even when we left. If they want to succeed, hopefully they change up their wait staff or do more training in hospitality/customer service. Or they will become just...
Read moreIf I could give my experience 0 stars I definitely would. We use to take our families out at least once a month to this golden corral. Haven't been in a little over 2 years so we went Saturday night. We couldn't find a clean table, or big enough for our party of 7 when I called hours prior to make sure they could accommodate us. Finally we found a table, waitress was over within seconds of sitting down. Took our drink slip didn't return till 12 mins pass by he just stood around the back corner talking to other staff. So we got our food and ignored it., 2 water drinkers never got their drinks till we asked 10 mins later. Later on kids needed refills on chocolate milks. Asked the server 3 different times in a 1/2 hour time span he kept forgetting. There was only us and 2 other small tables in his section. Finally he got chocolate milks, water needed refilled and a tea. Never made an attempt to see If the glasses were emptied.. till my husband got his attention and asked for them. Waitress came over twiced and asked if there was anything he could clear off our tables we said sure and we stacked everything up at the end nicely for him so it made his job easier. Both times didn't return for an additional 10-15 mins again was to busy talking to other staff. Our guests that sat at the end of the tables had to sit with dirty dishes stacked next to them because he never returned to get them after asking for them. $80 and 2 hours of time wasted and very upset with our service - when we got up to leave the waitress ran over to our table and said have a good night, checked the table for his tip and realized it was not what he anticipated it to be.. then proceeded to complain to my husband about his tip, husband told him waitressing is not for everyone especially when drinks are your main concern and you couldn't even do that. We won't be returning anytime soon. Besides that, kids loved the food...
Read moreFor mass quantities of food, it's pretty good. The price is on par for what you're getting: your desired meals, very quickly, served at the right temperatures.
Nothing really stood out, which I expected, but nothing was awful, other than the orange "cheese" sauce on the entree station that had no flavor. I put it on some steamed cauliflower. I couldn't taste it. I should have used butter.
I was surprised at the decent flavor of the steak. Although it was tough, I remarked that it had better char and seasoning than a single steak that cost both of our meals together, at another restaurant I've reviewed. Thanks for some tasty bites.
The fresh pineapple on the salad bar, and the Caesar dressing, were very good. I enjoyed the golden, breaded and fried jumbo shrimp. They now offer bread pudding, a favorite comfort dessert of mine, which had good flavor but was dry. A bit more custard would have actually made this remarkable, as it had a really nice balance between spice and sweetness.
There was a general feeling of neglect and disorder at the salad, soup, potato, and taco stations. Salad greens were wilted and bruised, and serving containers were messy and half empty. We were there at 7 PM on a Friday, so it's likely the dinner rush had just ended. All of the other stations were in order, with the exception of the ice cream machine. That vanilla came out slooooow.
The floors were clean, most of the tables had been cleared and cleaned, and in general the restaurant was in good order. Our server was very attentive, and we...
