Our site-ops crew lead made a reservation for 30 at Texas Roadhouse on a weekday evening. The one and only downside was the wait for a table- totally understandable, its a very popular restaurant. -Seating- We were seated in a semi- private alcove, 5 tables nestled close enough to conversate, yet still giving ample chair space & a path for wait staff. -Service- Our server was Heather (she deserves a raise!), she wasn't even fazed by the number of guests. She remained calm, friendly and professional- answering questions about the menu items/drinks, delivering endless rolls, appetizers/ salads in perfect timing to the entrees. -Atmosphere- This is where TRH shines- we couldn't have asked for a better space for a group of exhausted, yet exuberant (we had just wrapped up the final days of Inkcarceration) hard-working crew members who were in desperate need of a good meal and a strong drink. It was the ideal place to celebrate the wrap-up of another successful event, give props to those who went above and beyond, laugh out loud (sometimes very loud), and yes, we were the group that broke out in mid chorus, no musical accompaniment, a capella, out- of- the- blue, to the Garth Brooks hit "Friends In Low Places"- our apologies to those who have an aversion to non- trained voices, Garth Brooks and/ or the chosen tune. 🙃Our most heartfelt Thanks to those who joined in, not knowing who or why that particular song was being belted in the middle of dinner! 🙂To the Restaurant Manager who appeared during the song, We Adore You, sending our best wishes for a Bright and Lucrative career🩷💙 we expected at the least an admonishment to tone it down a little, what we got was a Choral Conductor, who cheerfully lead us through the ending notes. -Food/Drinks- As far as I know, there were no complaints/ issues with anyone's apps/salads/ entrees or drinks, and Im pretty sure that we either left an empty plate or requested a to-go box. The food was Amazing- perfectly cooked steaks, fresh salads, and OMG those dang rolls... They're a food group. I blame them for the mass requests of to-go boxes and no room for dessert! -Cleanliness- A++++ Every nook and cranny of this place is clean and sanitary. To those of you who are thinking "this review is being given by someone who has been living out of a suitcase, has a lock on the best Porto in the venue, has become certified in mud vs mulch, and wears a splotch of dirt on her cheek like a beauty mark"--let it be known that the reviewer is also a healthcare worker during the off- season, trained to know the difference between clean & hygenically clean. -Overall Experience- We will be back- expect us to appear around the same time next year- we may need more tables once others read this review and mourn the good time they...
Read moreNovember 24th my girlfriend and I went into this location to eat after an entire day of Black Friday shopping. I got a steak, potato and salad. My girlfriend got smothered chicken, potato and salad. We had not eaten all day and were very hungry when we arrived. From the start the food seemed a little off. The rolls were very undercooked and under proofed. The butter seems to taste off to us. We didn’t mention anything, just ordered a blooming onion and stopped eating the rolls and butter. Everything arrived at the table and seemed fine. My girlfriend was halfway through her meal and said her chicken tasted a little rubbery and she couldn’t eat anymore. Halfway through a meal there is no point to send it back. We bagged up our leftovers and headed home. We were both feeling okay until around 2am. We both woke up sweating and dizzy. To spare everyone the gory details, we were both violently sick for hours throwing up and diarrhea. I have never had food poisoning before. I have never been sick like this in my entire life. We are still both miserable and haven’t been able to keep food down the entire day. I called and spoke directly to the owner of this location. He was unconcerned and unbothered by our experience. He basically told me I was lying and that all he could do is take my information down and relay that info to the health department. I am in food service, myself and I know without a doubt this man will not report himself to the public health department to get investigated. I am in the process of getting this matter handled with the county health department. I would not recommend dining at this location to anyone. It’s unfortunate that the owner was so unprofessional. He had very little regard for my health and the health of his future guest by the way he handled my concerns on the phone with him. This is highly disappointing and completely disgusting. Myself and my family have eaten there may times with no issues. I’m not sure if maybe the holidays effected the food storage or they over prepared before thanksgiving and were handing out old food. Read moreMy first and last visit. Whatever you do, do not ask questions. Our server was young and seemed unsure about things but was doing the best he could and got everything ordered correctly. Food took a while but was good. Server said take your time when you're finished you can pay here and tapped the little machine on the table. The other person with me said hold on I have this card (discount). Server said he needed to ask about it. He took it and the gift card we were using and left. Came back and said, thank you. You have.49 cents left on the card. Thinking what, when did we pay and for what we hadn't seen a bill. That didn't seem right as the discount should have covered more and we were never shown a bill. I asked about the charges and amounts and server said he didn't know and said he needed to ask and this time he returned with Jasmine who showed up very angry. Immediately defensive she said she gave us a good deal. I said well we don't know what you gave because we haven't seen a bill or receipt. For a second maybe third time I explained we hadn't seen a bill that our gift card was taken and the bill was paid without coming to us first. I said we want a receipt. She stated to argue and then stormed off, got the receipt came back set it on the table and walked away. No more questions, no more answers, no thank you. Still thinking the charges were incorrect we left, as what could we do they took the money from the card. We were more than ok with paying and covering all the correct charges it would have been nice if the manager who we didn't even ask for would have not been so upset about questions.
