Tacana Grill — Restaurant in Springfield Township

Tacana Grill was suggested to me by my son, who went there with several friends. I have to say I really enjoyed it. I had the taco birria meal with rice and beans.

The food was tasty, simple, filling, and reasonably priced. The service was outstanding! We had at least 3 different people check on us, including someone that I think was the owner. Everyone was super friendly and fast and seemed to be fluent in English and Spanish since many of the guests were ordering in Spanish.

The place was nearly full, but we didn't have to wait for a seat. Many tables had large groups that seemed to be loving the food.

The only downside is that I may not have noticed the restaurant from the road if I wasn't told where it was located. It looks like a former restaurant of some kind, that they really haven't modified much on the outside, There were a couple of what looked like abandoned cars in back of the parking lot that made me wonder if it was open. However, the groups of people happily entering Tacana Grill when I arrived told me this was the right place.

I'm really looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other delicious looking offerings...

1st Vist (Pick-Up): They are some of the most genuinely sweet & patient people that I've seen in a long time in a restaurant. The kids are sweet, too. 😊Especially the girl. She remind me of my niece. I hope they never loose their charm. You can tell that they are very proud of their establishment. 2nd visit (To-Go): I sat down with a menu to choose my meal. The cook/owner greeted me with salsa & tortilla chips hot out the oven. It was good & much appreciated. The little girl brought me a cup of water with a smile. So much hospitality. I chose the salmon meal (salmon, broccoli, mashed potatoes & a side salad all for $18). It's all good and fresh. The salmon is well done (per my request) but it's a bit dry. 🧏🏿‍♀️ Next time, I'll request it to be well done but moist. The mashed potatoes 🥔 are homemade and the broccoli was steamed and lightly & properly seasoned. I recommend! Tacana Grill is a destination for authentic Mexican. Not only that, the staff is so caring that it enrichens the whole experience. There are loads of Mexican options in the area but Tacana stands out with their seasoning and quality of ingredients. The carne asada and Tacana combination plates came straight from the grill. There was a great char on the meats and even the veggie sides were freshly grilled. Three great salsa to accompany the dishes as we made our own little street tacos with tortillas on the side.
