Brady's Pub — Restaurant in Springfield

My first experience at Brady's was great, so I am disappointed to be writing this review this evening. My boyfriend and I stopped in for the first time a few weeks ago and were greeted by a bubbly, friendly bartender. She happily served us, checked in on us often, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, and we left pleased with our experience.

Our second visit was last week, and we had a different bartender. She was not nearly as friendly, and we suspect that we were overcharged for my boyfriends' draft beers. Not a huge deal though. We decided to give it another go this evening.

The same young woman from our last visit was bartending again this evening. It was clear that she did not want to be there, which I understand, but she made it so obvious that both my boyfriend and I were uncomfortable our entire visit. We ordered food, and we noticed that the bartender had to go back and get it all ready while still tending to the rest of the bar. Being apologetic, my boyfriend started to tell the bartender that he was sorry if he burdened her by ordering food, and she responded by tossing our food onto the bar and walking away while he was mid sentence. Eager to get out of there, we shoved our food and drinks down and waited for the bartender to come by with our checks. And we waited. And we waited. And we waited some more while she was on her phone.

I could keep going, but overall it was one of my worst dining/bar experiences. I will unfortunately not...

Honestly, it’s a sad local bar. Tonight was the absolute worst service I’ve ever had at any restaurant in my life. The bartender seemed angry we were going to order food. She brought the food out and basically tossed it at us, turned away immediately, and walked away while we were talking to her — mid sentence. She didn’t speak to us until I had to leave my chair and find her. She made sure dirty dishes were in front of us while other people’s tables were cleaned. I knew there was no fixing the situation and asked to cash out after she spent 5 to 10 minutes standing at the other side of the bar on her cell phone. She asked if everyone at the bar wanted to cash out, like she had no idea what was happening. All this time several other people were wandering around the employees only kitchen. Ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, onion mayo and ketchup, only had ketchup and onion, 3 chili dogs that are average, two full orders of chili fries, chili came on the side the first were old and dark brown, did not receive chips with my cheeseburger or my wife's Rubin... Prices were not close to advertised on Google, I ask the lady and she said they been trying to take it down for years... When I called back about my chips and fries the lady told me she just works there and can't help me... I asked for someone who could... The lady responded the owner is sitting right here, so I ask to speak to the owner in which she replied "I'm off duty"... They also charge extra for debit card transactions... Prices are significantly higher then what...
