The new Dunkin Donuts on Clinton St next to Irving Oil gas station is stretching the truth with their sign that reads Dunkin Donuts Drive Thru. It should read Dunkin Donuts Parking Lot. Don't expect to zip through their drive thru to pick up your favorite drink because you'll be disappointed and probably end up aggravated.
I had decided to treat myself to one of my favorite drinks that I had not had in a long time. So I stopped at this Dunkin Donuts. There was one car ahead of me when I pulled up to order. After a lengthy wait, his order was taken then it was my turn, or so I thought. 5 mins later I'm still waiting to order. Then another 12 min wait in line for the window while 5 cars stacked up behind me. (By now I was keeping track of the time) I paid at the window and. . .you guessed it, another long wait of 8 mins. At this point, had I not already paid, I would have left like the truck that drove off who had been waiting in line behind me. After all of that, the employee tried to hand me the wrong order. Another 4 min wait and at long last I was handed my drink minus the usual topping. My special treat had been turned into an aggravating experience.
Keep this up and the next sign they will be hanging in their window will read...
Read moreStopped here while traveling through Vermont on Sunday, Sept 14. The staff was great but there was an older woman, maybe the manager, barking orders at the kids working. She was standing just a few feet away from the young lady working the register and was yelling at someone in the back. She was so loud that me and the person on register had a hard time hearing each other and confirming my order. The person in the registered seemed a bit rattled. I felt bad for her. My coffee order ended up being wrong but I feel like it was because she couldn’t hear me! Then we were waiting on a single donut I ordered and this young man was helping make coffees and she was screaming at him to get back. He said he was helping make beverages and she just kept yelling at him. There was a bunch of people waiting in the lobby and a long line at the drive through. I feel bad for everyone working there if she was the manager or person in charge. I can’t imagine that boosts employee morale, having a dozen customers watching as this woman screams at all her employees. If there’s a large employee turnover rate, she’s to blame. There’s no way they get paid enough to get...
Read moreI'm surprised by all the 1-stars. I pass by on my way out and back for work, so I saw the place being built. I finally stopped by a few days ago -- a weekday afternoon when it was slow. The order service, payment, and delivery all went well. One person gave me my lemonade; another gave my 10 count box of Munchkins; another gave my grilled cheese. Everything was accurate and tasted fine. Perhaps most of the negative reviews were due to staff that was there when the place first opened, but they're gone now. I don't know, but my...
