I had a bad experience here over the weekend. Went late to get dinner (~8pm) and there’s about 30-40 people there, which is normal when it’s cold. First off the waitress paid us very little attention, and not cause she was busy but cause the guys in the corner monopolized her time apparently. When we did get her to come over she was in such a hurry I felt in a hurry and ordered something I was seriously disappointed with. The open face meatloaf sandwich. This sandwich came with a side of chips they had to have bought from a vending machine, they were stale. The meatloaf itself was the size of a silver dollar, wouldn’t feed a child. I chalk that up to my mistake $11 wasted, oh well. Still hungry I order something to go. I’ve been to JBs a dozen times and I know they do good burgers and good pizza, but I’ve wore those options out. So I order a taco salad. They’re quick to get us out of there on a huge bill and she comes back asap this time with it nicely packaged. I’m happy, till I get home. Now when I say this taco salad looked like it came out the dumpster, believe it. Meat was cold on top just chilling there like it had been sitting open in the freezer a week. The other ingredients, similar. I ate it because I was still starving but it was a “choke down” deal. Ok, fast forward 24hrs and I regret every bit of that trip. I got the worst food poisoning I’ve had in forever and it hurts. I don’t want to totally discredit this place because they do a decent burger and pizza, BUT DO NOT DEVIATE from those items. I promise you, if you’re not drinking but here for dinner, stick with the burger or you’ll wish you had. I won’t be back for awhile. Wish I could cut them out all together but my wife loves the pizza and they...
Read more2 stars due to excellent wait staff. The food was bland. I'm very curious if there are spices in the kitchen. Got a burger and mac n cheese. The burger patty tasted like just ground beef. I asked for it to be done medium but came out well and super dry. The only thing giving it any sort of moisture was the tasteless "cheese" sauce. The only thing that gave the burger any flavor was the 2 strips of bacon (proof that they at least have pepper), but the patty was so big that the bacon couldn't really save the burger. I'm not one to complain at the restaurant if I'm going to eat it anyway, so I didn't say anything. But the mac n cheese just tasted like buttered watery noodles, again no cheese taste. We would have gotten more flavor from a $6 concession stand burger and Kraft mac n cheese. Thankfully, we didn't have to pay for the noodles since we only tasted 2 of them. But in comparison, what would have cost $50 (including the pretzel bites appetizer, which was good) could have been a night at home for $15. Tried to convince my husband to try the pizza since it was half off night and we were already there, but he was too disappointed to try anything else. Seems like they have a great selection of alcohol so it's possible we'll try again when the weather is warm for a couple of drinks and maybe that...
Read moreThis date was with the new ownership in place one of the owners or the only and his name is Brad, this wasn't under the old ownership of JB.
We were there Saturday for the Bronk Brothers concert. Got talked into getting reserved seating for a huge upcharge, not worth it as our server was not very good? ( she could have been new we don't know ) she forgot us for a long time when we got there, then took forever to get our drinks and meals and when we ordered something she forgot to bring it. We were told to cash out and the concert stopped early for bad weather, but feel and know we were overcharged as we didn't get an itemized bill just a total, we questioned it ans our lack luster waitress said this is correct we said it cant be. We feel it was 80 dollars higher than it should have been. We sent and email to the owner and have not got a response in 3 days now, that's unacceptable. We won't be back till this gets fixed. Worst experience we have had...
