I am a frequent customer and ex employee of Wendy's and I live in branson mo. 2-3 times a week I travel down I44 to oklahoma on business and pass pretty close to the west bypass location on Kearney st in springfield mo. On Friday, may 17th, I was actually traveling with a friend, my wife, and my son on a family visit taking the same route through the area. I never stopped at this location before so we decided to stop in for restrooms and light refreshments. We are all too old for kids meals except my son who is too young to eat the food at 8 months but he loves the toys and was in a foul mood after a long trip in a car seat. I asked if I could just purchase the toy to appease my son without the purchase of the meal since we were making other purchases at the location. The front service employee, John, said that usually it was necessary since they are complimentary for the guests who purchase the meal, but asked me to wait while he conferred with the manager. A manager, Seth, presented himself to resolve my query, but instead of just making a decision, he also conferred with the other manager on duty at the time, Ed. They agreed that they could allow my son the satisfaction of receiving a new toy to ease his discomfort, as well as ours, and even asked which one we would like. My son even reached for the blue dinosaur toy when I held him up to them and they handed it over with a smile. On top of that, they required no compensation for the toy and accepted the smile on my little Joel's face when we got it put together and he started playing with it for the first time as payment enough. I sincerely hope that this review does not land any one of these employees in any kind of trouble because it is this level of customer service and acts of kindness in a small gesture that brings customers back asking for more. Customer acquired!! Thank you so much for caring for me and my family and I never forget exemplary people like this who stand out in a crowd. I will make sure this is a priority stop for me and my family traveling through and back by this location as long as service this memorable brings smiles on a rough part of our day. Read moreI was in this location today for lunch with a couple of coworkers. The lobby was full but moving. Saving, the order taker, was working diligently taking care of customers in a busy but friendly manor. The kitchen seemed slow at getting food up for delivery to waiting customers. He was handing out what he had as it came ready. No one had compliant. The manager came up to the front counter and yelled at him in front of the customers. She was demeaning, rude and very unprofessional. She was criticizing Saving and got him all flustered. Her behavior was very uncalled for! She yelled at him for not handing out food when the only meal on the counter was NOT ready. She in fact held the chili in her hand the order was waiting on. Savon handled himself well under her scrutiny and continued to handle the customers. If she had an issue with what he was doing, that should have been handled away from customers. Read moreQuite honestly, I believe this establishment may have presented me with the most pleasing experience I've ever obtained in my existence. Firstly, I, with my track team, arrived at 9:40; 20 minutes before closing time. Although my coach believes that this may have upset the staff, they showed no such signs of disapproval. Secondly, although I used a name I thought to be humorous, the man behind the register seemed to take it in stride. For the sake of explanation, the name was Biggie Cheese, spelt correctly, if I might add. Lastly, I can confidently say that the time between my order and the arrival of my food was well within two minutes, dare I say just about a single minute. This observation was the most surprising, as I was within the center of my track assembly, with more than adequate time for the staff to have been overworked.
