Started with a pound of assorted chocolate. Lady that helped me rang me up. $7.45.
Told her I want to add 2 more pounds in separate bags. She proceeds to throw extra chocolates into the same initial bag. By the end of the confusion, she took half the chocolates out and told me it was nearly 2 pounds. Charges me $20.
I get home, knowing the bag was light because she didn’t tear out the bag she was weighing it in prior to weighing the chocolate.
Weighed it on my own scale. 388 grams.
So, at first I was getting charged for 1 pound at $7.45, then end up paying over $20 for less than a pound. The lady that helped us was so confused throughout the entire process that it made me want to walk out.
I’ve been to this place a few times, never had an issue with anything. I don’t know the name of the lady that helped us, but she had just told a co-worker about how she got yelled at by a customer today, to which the replied “what are you doing to get yelled at all the time?”
I have a pretty good suspicion her customer service skills are why her customers have issues with her.
She was very nice to my wife and I throughout the whole process, but the amount of confusion she caused during a very simple task of weighing out assorted chocolates was insane.
I would not recommend this place if you want to get through your day without...
Read moreI’ve been to the north limestones store several times first time I am come on here to complain. But for some reason the employees at the store seem to be much lazier and I’m concerned with customer service than the one on fountain. Went in last night temperatures dropped wanted a nice hot cuppa coffee walked in ask them if their coffee was hot and the canisters the answer was not for sure. Offered one that had been brewed the last. Got it and by the time I put a small amount of cold cream in it it was not hot at all. No offer to make anything that would be hot. Is this what kind of customer service you have at a coffee shop? How long is the coffee in the canisters before new is brewed?I have never got this kind of service at Coffee expressions. Even though I like Winans and I want to support a family owned business I’m not going to put up with that kind of customer service!!!!!! I guess I’ll be going elsewhere from now on out and tell my family from now on out to get me coffee gift card for...
Read moreI was really looking forward to trying Winans, but unfortunately, my experience was frustrating and disappointing. The customer service wasn’t outright rude, but it was confusing and unhelpful. We ordered 2 pounds of chocolates, but when we got home and weighed it ourselves, it wasn’t even a full pound.
The biggest issue? We were charged $20 — even though the pricing was supposed to be around $7 per pound. After some thought, we realized the employee hadn’t zeroed out the scale before weighing our chocolates, which means we were essentially charged for the container weight as well.
Whether it was a mistake or carelessness, it ended up costing us almost triple what it should have. For a place that prides itself on quality, I expected much better accuracy and transparency.
Sadly, I won’t be returning — and I’d recommend checking your receipt and what you’re actually getting before you walk...
