I returned on a Friday at 11:30 to eat lunch. The restaurant was packed not only from the normal lunch crowd. But, also from a bus load of elementary age kids on a field trip. Tabatha, took my food order and was not only super friendly and nice, but also took her time to explain the specials. We of course joked about the TV show "Bewitched, and her being the daughter on the show," I also mentioned about a couple days ago coming to this same McDonald's, and whoever waited on me, told me they didn't have any specials. And they wasn't even crowded. I was very impressed with this visit, not only because they was fast with my order. Mainly, I was impressed with Tabatha and how calm and under control she was. Especially, after just dealing with 30 plus excited, screaming, elementary age kids full of energy. Being a former GM at Menards. I know the importance of having a employee who genuinely cares about the customers. Also, who smiles with a friendly greeting, and is happy to interact cheerfully with you is priceless. If I still was a manager at Menards, I would be asking Tabatha to come work at Menards. Owners/Managers remember that sometimes it only takes one employee to make or break a visit. Very rarely do I see a employee make a lasting impression like Tabatha did today. I boosted your rating a couple points because of her.
I ordered a couple triple cheeseburgers from the counter inside. First of all it took about 10 minutes. They did apologize for the wait. Really the biggest problem I had was the burgers tasted like they dumped a whole salt shaker on them. And this is about the third time they've tasted like this. Terrible! A few days ago, I went to the St Clair McDonald's and ordered the same. A couple triple cheeseburgers that were amazing. I hope they fix this, so I can enjoy the burgers. Even my dog wouldn't eat the burgers I...
Read moreAbout 75% of the time when you place an order in the drive thru they WILL forget or mess something up on your order. They generally have 2 lanes open but the line still takes forever to get thru because one is usually ran by an older lady that is terribly slow. You might sit at the box & watch 3 or 4 cars in the next lane pull up, order and move along before you even get a greeting. Not the place to stop for breakfast if you're in a rush.
Mobile ordering is far from new and I personally have been using it for about 7 months at this location and it is still VERY painful. Most workers aren't sure what to do when you identify urself as a mobile order and if they do u are pushed ahead to the final window to pick up your order without anyone ever recapping to ensure all the items you intended to purchase were included.
Sometimes when I get to the final pick up window to collect my mobile order they will act confused and claim they don't have any mobile orders, argue w me for a few minutes before finally allowing me place an order at the window & then park me while I wait another 10 min for someone to bring my food that is likely prepared incorrect or missing at minimum one item. all of that could have been avoided simply BY CONFIRMING MY ORDER ITEMS AND ORDER # PROVIDED BY THE APP WHEN I AUTHORIZE PAYMENT ON MY APP not just pushing me to the next person to figure out when it's far too late.
If st. clair had more options for a quick bite to eat I would avoid McDonald's all together. Unfortunately, I can only handle so many tacos and the BK in town has a lot of the same issues. So your best bet is just to pick one, cross ur fingers and hope for the best outcome. get it...
Read moreWe were approached by a leaving customer upon our entrance unto the door, stating it was a 30-minute wait time to get her food. It did take us a bit to get ours as well. The girl in the back was rude to other customers. Went off on the poor girl at the register because she was bringing sweet tea out to us, the whole urn, and apparently, it was to go someplace else. There is a time and place for correctly correcting someone when they make a mistake, and customers don't want to hear it. Then, the girl from the back got an attitude with us when we asked if we could have some sweet tea. My husband asked, "Please, without an attitude?" The girl then looked at me and said," Why don't u cone back here and get it yourself? "" in a very rude manor, And walked away to get our tea. Then, proceed to angrily plop it down, roll her eyes at me, and say, in a very rude way as well, "Here!" We asked the customers behind us if we were in the wrong and they all said ,"No, that that was uncalled for, " poor little boy behind us was afraid to ask for more tea for himself. I then proceeded to ask another employee to please get a manager for me. Of course, it wasn't the store manager, just the MOD, and all she could do was talk to the girl.' I told her that was fine, that I would call the number on my receipt and make a Google review, I then thanked her and went on my way, but I will never come back to that...
